1 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Oh Señor, Tú me has escudriñado y conocido.

2 T hou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

Tú conoces mi sentarme y mi levantarme; Desde lejos comprendes mis pensamientos.

3 T hou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

Tú escudriñas mi senda y mi descanso, Y conoces bien todos mis caminos.

4 F or there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.

Aun antes de que haya palabra en mi boca, Oh Señor, Tú ya la sabes toda.

5 T hou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Por detrás y por delante me has cercado, Y Tu mano pusiste sobre mí.

6 S uch knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Tal conocimiento es demasiado maravilloso para mí; Es muy elevado, no lo puedo alcanzar.

7 W hither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

¿Adónde me iré de Tu Espíritu, O adónde huiré de Tu presencia?

8 I f I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

Si subo a los cielos, allí estás Tú; Si en el Seol preparo mi lecho, allí Tú estás.

9 I f I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Si tomo las alas del alba, Y si habito en lo más remoto del mar,

10 E ven there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

Aun allí me guiará Tu mano, Y me tomará Tu diestra.

11 I f I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

Si digo: “Ciertamente las tinieblas me envolverán, Y la luz a mi alrededor será noche;”

12 Y ea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Ni aun las tinieblas son oscuras para Ti, Y la noche brilla como el día. Las tinieblas y la luz son iguales para Ti.

13 F or thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

Porque Tú formaste mis entrañas; Me hiciste en el seno de mi madre.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Te daré gracias, porque asombrosa y maravillosamente he sido hecho; Maravillosas son Tus obras, Y mi alma lo sabe muy bien.

15 M y substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

No estaba oculto de Ti mi cuerpo, Cuando en secreto fui formado, Y entretejido en las profundidades de la tierra.

16 T hine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Tus ojos vieron mi embrión, Y en Tu libro se escribieron todos Los días que me fueron dados, Cuando no existía ni uno solo de ellos.

17 H ow precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

¡Cuán preciosos también son para mí, oh Dios, Tus pensamientos! ¡Cuán inmensa es la suma de ellos!

18 I f I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Si los contara, serían más que la arena; Al despertar aún estoy contigo.

19 S urely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

¡Oh Dios, si Tú hicieras morir al impío! Por tanto, apártense de mí, hombres sanguinarios.

20 F or they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Porque hablan contra Ti perversamente, Y Tus enemigos toman Tu nombre en vano.

21 D o not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

¿No odio a los que Te aborrecen, Señor ? ¿Y no me repugnan los que se levantan contra Ti?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Los aborrezco con el más profundo odio; Se han convertido en mis enemigos.

23 S earch me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Escudríñame, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; Pruébame y conoce mis inquietudes.

24 A nd see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Y ve si hay en mí camino malo, Y guíame en el camino eterno.
