1 T he first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

El primer día de la semana María Magdalena fue temprano al sepulcro, cuando todavía estaba oscuro, y vio que la piedra ya había sido quitada del sepulcro.

2 T hen she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Entonces corrió y fue adonde estaban Simón Pedro y el otro discípulo a quien Jesús amaba, y les dijo: “Se han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde Lo han puesto.”

3 P eter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

Salieron, pues, Pedro y el otro discípulo, y fueron hacia el sepulcro.

4 S o they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

Los dos corrían juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro;

5 A nd he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

e inclinándose para mirar adentro, vio las envolturas de lino puestas allí, pero no entró.

6 T hen cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

Entonces llegó también Simón Pedro tras él, entró al sepulcro, y vio las envolturas de lino puestas allí,

7 A nd the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

y el sudario que había estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús, no puesto con las envolturas de lino, sino enrollado en un lugar aparte.

8 T hen went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

También entró el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro, y vio y creyó.

9 F or as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

Porque todavía no habían entendido la Escritura de que Jesús debía resucitar de entre los muertos.

10 T hen the disciples went away again unto their own home.

Los discípulos entonces se fueron de nuevo a sus casas. Aparición de Jesús a María Magdalena

11 B ut Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

Pero María estaba fuera, llorando junto al sepulcro; y mientras lloraba, se inclinó y miró dentro del sepulcro;

12 A nd seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

y vio dos ángeles vestidos de blanco, sentados donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno a la cabecera y otro a los pies.

13 A nd they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

“Mujer, ¿por qué lloras ?” le preguntaron. “Porque se han llevado a mi Señor, y no sé dónde Lo han puesto,” les contestó ella.

14 A nd when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

Al decir esto, se volvió y vio a Jesús que estaba allí, pero no sabía que era Jesús.

15 J esus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

“Mujer, ¿por qué lloras ?” le dijo Jesús. “¿A quién buscas?” Ella, pensando que era el que cuidaba el huerto, Le dijo: “Señor, si usted Lo ha llevado, dígame dónde Lo ha puesto, y yo me Lo llevaré.”

16 J esus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

“¡María!” le dijo Jesús. Ella, volviéndose, Le dijo en Hebreo: “¡Raboní!” (que quiere decir Maestro).

17 J esus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Jesús le dijo: “Suéltame (No Me agarres) porque todavía no he subido al Padre; pero ve a Mis hermanos, y diles: ‘Subo a Mi Padre y Padre de ustedes, a Mi Dios y Dios de ustedes.’”

18 M ary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

María Magdalena fue y anunció a los discípulos: “¡He visto al Señor!,” y que El le había dicho estas cosas. Aparición a los Discípulos

19 T hen the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Al atardecer de aquel día, el primero de la semana, y estando cerradas las puertas del lugar donde los discípulos se encontraban por miedo a los Judíos, Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo: “Paz a ustedes.”

20 A nd when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

Y diciendo esto, les mostró las manos y el costado. Entonces los discípulos se regocijaron al ver al Señor.

21 T hen said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Jesús les dijo otra vez: “Paz a ustedes; como el Padre Me ha enviado, así también Yo los envío.”

22 A nd when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Después de decir esto, sopló sobre ellos y les dijo: “Reciban el Espíritu Santo.

23 W hose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

A quienes perdonen los pecados, éstos les son perdonados; a quienes retengan los pecados, éstos les son retenidos.” Incredulidad de Tomás

24 B ut Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

Tomás, uno de los doce, llamado el Dídimo (el Gemelo), no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino.

25 T he other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

Entonces los otros discípulos le decían: “¡Hemos visto al Señor!” Pero él les dijo: “Si no veo en Sus manos la señal de los clavos, y meto el dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y pongo la mano en Su costado, no creeré.”

26 A nd after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Ocho días después, Sus discípulos estaban otra vez dentro (en la casa), y Tomás con ellos. Estando las puertas cerradas, Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y dijo: “Paz a ustedes.”

27 T hen saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Luego dijo a Tomás: “Acerca aquí tu dedo, y mira Mis manos; extiende aquí tu mano y métela en Mi costado; y no seas incrédulo, sino creyente.”

28 A nd Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

“¡Señor mío y Dios mío!” Le dijo Tomás.

29 J esus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesús le dijo: “¿Porque Me has visto has creído? Dichosos los que no vieron, y sin embargo creyeron.” El Propósito de este Evangelio según Juan

30 A nd many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

Y muchas otras señales (milagros) hizo también Jesús en presencia de Sus discípulos, que no están escritas en este libro;

31 B ut these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

pero éstas se han escrito para que ustedes crean que Jesús es el Cristo (el Mesías), el Hijo de Dios; y para que al creer, tengan vida en Su nombre.
