1 T hen said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

Le-a zis apoi ucenicilor Săi: „Este imposibil să nu vină pricini de păcătuire, dar vai de cel prin care vin!

2 I t were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Ar fi mai bine pentru el dacă i s-ar atârna de gât o piatră de moară şi ar fi aruncat în mare, decât să facă pe vreunul din aceşti micuţi să păcătuiască!

3 T ake heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Luaţi seama la voi înşivă! Dacă fratele tău păcătuieşte, mustră-l, iar dacă se pocăieşte, iartă-l!

4 A nd if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Şi chiar dacă păcătuieşte împotriva ta de şapte ori pe zi şi de şapte ori se întoarce la tine şi zice: «Mă pocăiesc!», tu să-l ierţi!“

5 A nd the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Apostolii I-au zis Domnului: – Măreşte-ne credinţa!

6 A nd the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Domnul le-a răspuns: – Dacă aţi avea credinţă cât un bob de muştar, aţi zice acestui dud: „Dezrădăcinează-te şi sădeşte-te în mare!“, iar el v-ar asculta!

7 B ut which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

Cine dintre voi care are un sclav ce ară sau paşte oile, îi va zice când vine de la câmp: „Vino îndată şi aşază-te să mănânci!“?!

8 A nd will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

Nu-i va zice mai degrabă: „Pregăteşte-mi să mănânc şi încinge-te să-mi slujeşti câtă vreme mănânc şi beau eu, iar după aceea vei mânca şi vei bea şi tu!“?!

9 D oth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

Va trebui el oare să-i fie recunoscător sclavului său pentru că a făcut ceea ce-i poruncise? (Nu cred).

10 S o likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Tot aşa şi voi: când faceţi tot ceea ce vi s-a poruncit, să ziceţi: „Suntem nişte sclavi nevrednici de laudă; am făcut ceea ce eram datori să facem.“ Isus curăţă zece leproşi

11 A nd it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

În drum spre Ierusalim, El a trecut printre Samaria şi Galileea.

12 A nd as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

În timp ce intra într-un sat, L-au întâlnit zece leproşi. Ei au stat la distanţă

13 A nd they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

şi şi-au ridicat glasul zicând: – Stăpâne Isus, ai milă de noi!

14 A nd when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

Când i-a văzut, Isus le-a zis: – Duceţi-vă şi arătaţi-vă preoţilor! Şi, în timp ce se duceau, au fost curăţiţi.

15 A nd one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

Unul dintre ei, când a văzut că a fost vindecat, s-a întors slăvindu-L pe Dumnezeu cu glas tare.

16 A nd fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

El a căzut cu faţa la pământ la picioarele lui Isus şi I-a mulţumit. Era samaritean.

17 A nd Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Isus a zis: „Oare nu zece au fost curăţiţi?! Unde sunt ceilalţi nouă?

18 T here are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

Nu s-a găsit decât străinul acesta să se întoarcă şi să dea slavă lui Dumnezeu?“

19 A nd he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Apoi i-a zis: „Ridică-te şi du-te; credinţa ta te-a vindecat!“ Venirea Împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu şi a Fiului Omului

20 A nd when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Fiind întrebat de către farisei când va veni Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu, Isus le-a răspuns: „Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu nu vine în aşa fel încât să fie observată

21 N either shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

şi nici nu se va zice: «Iat-o aici!» sau « Iat-o acolo!», pentru că Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu este în mijlocul vostru!“

22 A nd he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Le-a zis apoi ucenicilor: – Vor veni zile când veţi dori să vedeţi una din zilele Fiului Omului, dar n-o veţi vedea!

23 A nd they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Vă vor zice: „Iată-L aici!“ sau „Iată-L acolo!“ Să nu vă duceţi, nici să nu- i urmaţi!

24 F or as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

Căci aşa cum iese fulgerul şi luminează de la o margine a cerului la cealaltă, tot aşa va fi şi cu Fiul Omului (în ziua Sa)!

25 B ut first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

Dar mai întâi trebuie să sufere multe şi să fie respins de această generaţie.

26 A nd as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Aşa cum s-a întâmplat în zilele lui Noe, tot aşa va fi şi în zilele Fiului Omului.

27 T hey did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Oamenii mâncau, beau, se însurau şi se măritau, până în ziua când Noe a intrat în arcă şi a venit potopul şi i-a distrus pe toţi.

28 L ikewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Va fi la fel cum s-a întâmplat şi în zilele lui Lot: oamenii mâncau, beau, cumpărau, vindeau, plantau, construiau,

29 B ut the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

dar, în ziua când Lot a ieşit din Sodoma, a plouat foc şi pucioasă din cer şi i-a distrus pe toţi.

30 E ven thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Tot aşa va fi şi atunci când se va arăta Fiul Omului.

31 I n that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

În ziua aceea, cel ce va fi pe acoperişul casei şi va avea lucrurile în casă, să nu coboare să le ia, iar cel ce va fi la câmp, de asemenea, să nu se mai întoarcă la ce a rămas în urmă!

32 R emember Lot's wife.

Aduceţi-vă aminte de soţia lui Lot!

33 W hosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Oricine caută să-şi scape viaţa o va pierde, dar cel care şi-o va pierde o va păstra.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Vă spun că, în noaptea aceea, din doi care vor fi într-un pat, unul va fi luat, iar celălalt va fi lăsat.

35 T wo women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Două femei vor măcina împreună – una va fi luată, iar cealaltă va fi lăsată.

36 T wo men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

(Doi bărbaţi vor fi la câmp – unul va fi luat, iar celălalt va fi lăsat.“)

37 A nd they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Ei L-au întrebat: – Unde, Doamne? Isus le-a răspuns: – Unde va fi trupul, acolo se vor aduna şi vulturii!
