1 T he Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Domnul este păstorul meu: nu voi duce lipsă de nimic.

2 H e maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

El mă culcă în păşuni verzi şi mă conduce la ape odihnitoare.

3 H e restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Îmi înviorează sufletul şi mă călăuzeşte pe cărări drepte, datorită Numelui Său.

4 Y ea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Chiar dacă ar fi să umblu prin valea umbrei morţii, nu mă tem de rău, căci Tu eşti cu mine, nuiaua şi toiagul Tău mă mângâie.

5 T hou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Tu-mi întinzi masa în faţa duşmanilor mei, îmi ungi capul cu untdelemn şi cupa mea este atât de plină.

6 S urely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Într-adevăr, bunătatea şi credincioşia mă vor însoţi în toate zilele vieţii mele şi voi locui în Casa Domnului cât vor dăinui zilele!
