1 U nto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Doamne, la Tine îmi înalţ sufletul!

2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Dumnezeul meu, în Tine mă încred: să nu fiu dat de ruşine! Să nu se bucure duşmanii mei de mine!

3 Y ea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Da, toţi cei ce nădăjduiesc în Tine nu vor fi daţi de ruşine, ci de ruşine vor fi făcuţi cei ce Îţi sunt necredincioşi fără motiv.

4 S hew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Fă-mi cunoscute căile Tale, Doamne, învaţă-mă cărările Tale!

5 L ead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Călăuzeşte-mă în adevărul Tău, învaţă-mă, căci Tu eşti Dumnezeul mântuirii mele! În Tine nădăjduiesc toată ziua.

6 R emember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Adu-Ţi aminte, Doamne, de mila şi de îndurarea Ta, căci acestea sunt veşnice!

7 R emember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

Nu-Ţi aduce aminte de păcatele din tinereţea mea, nici de greşelile mele, ci adu-Ţi aminte de mine după îndurarea Ta, pentru bunătatea Ta, Doamne!

8 G ood and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Domnul este bun şi drept; de aceea le dă învăţătură celor păcătoşi pe cale.

9 T he meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

El îi îndrumă pe cei smeriţi în ceea ce este drept şi îi învaţă pe cei smeriţi calea Lui.

10 A ll the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Toate cărările Domnului sunt îndurare şi adevăr pentru cei ce păzesc legământul şi mărturiile Lui.

11 F or thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Doamne, din pricina Numelui Tău, iartă-mi vina, căci mare este!

12 W hat man is he that feareth the Lord ? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Cine se teme de Domnul ? Aceluia El îi arată ce cale să aleagă.

13 H is soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

El va locui în fericire, iar urmaşii lui vor moşteni ţara.

14 T he secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Sfatul Domnului este pentru cei ce se tem de El, iar legământul Lui le dă învăţătură.

15 M ine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Către Domnul îmi îndrept totdeauna privirea, căci El îmi scoate picioarele din laţ.

16 T urn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

Întoarce-Te spre mine şi îndură-te de mine, căci sunt singur şi necăjit!

17 T he troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

Necazurile inimii mele s-au înmulţit; izbăveşte-mă din nenorocirile mele!

18 L ook upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

Uită-te la năpasta şi la necazul meu şi iartă toate păcatele mele!

19 C onsider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

Ia aminte la duşmanii mei, căci se înmulţesc, şi la înverşunata ură cu care mă urăsc.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Păzeşte-mi sufletul şi izbăveşte-mă, nu mă lăsa de batjocură, căci mă încred în Tine!

21 L et integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

Integritatea şi nevinovăţia să mă ocrotească, căci nădăjduiesc în Tine!

22 R edeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Dumnezeule, răscumpără pe Israel din toate necazurile lui!
