1 T he king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

Doamne, regele se bucură de tăria pe care o dai Tu. Şi cât de mult se veseleşte de izbăvirea Ta!

2 T hou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

Tu ai împlinit dorinţa inimii lui şi n-ai respins cererea buzelor lui! Sela

3 F or thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

Căci l-ai întâmpinat cu binecuvântări plăcute, i-ai pus pe cap coroană de aur curat.

4 H e asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.

Ţi-a cerut viaţă şi i-ai dat-o; i-ai dat multe zile pentru veci de veci.

5 H is glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

Mare este slava lui datorită izbăvirii Tale! Splendoare şi măreţie ai pus peste el!

6 F or thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

Tu i-ai dat binecuvântări veşnice şi l-ai umplut cu bucuria prezenţei Tale.

7 F or the king trusteth in the Lord, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

Căci regele se încrede în Domnul, iar prin îndurarea Celui Preaînalt, el nu se va clătina.

8 T hine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

Mâna Ta îi va ajunge pe toţi duşmanii Tăi, dreapta Ta îi va ajunge pe cei ce Te urăsc.

9 T hou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

În ziua arătării Tale îi vei face ca un cuptor aprins. În mânia Lui, Domnul îi va înghiţi şi-i va mistui focul!

10 T heir fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

Le vei nimici odraslele de pe pământ şi urmaşii dintre fiii oamenilor,

11 F or they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

căci Ţi s-au împotrivit cu răutate! Au urzit intrigi, dar nu vor reuşi!

12 T herefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Îi vei pune să dea bir cu fugiţii când Îţi vei încorda arcul împotriva lor.

13 B e thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

Ridică-Te, Doamne, în tăria Ta, ca noi să cântăm şi să lăudăm puterea Ta!
