1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

Domnul i-a vorbit lui Moise în pustia Sinai, în prima zi a celui de-al doilea an după ce au ieşit din ţara Egiptului:

2 L et the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.

„Israeliţii să ţină Paştele la vremea hotărâtă.

3 I n the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.

Să-l ţină la vremea hotărâtă, în a paisprezecea zi a acestei luni, între cele două seri; să-l ţineţi potrivit cu toate hotărârile şi toate legile luate cu privire la el.“

4 A nd Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.

Moise le-a spus israeliţilor că trebuie să ţină Paştele.

5 A nd they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

Ei au ţinut Paştele în luna întâi, în a paisprezecea zi, între cele două seri, în pustia Sinai. Israeliţii au făcut aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul lui Moise.

6 A nd there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:

Au existat însă nişte oameni care, fiind necuraţi din cauză că se atinseseră de un mort, n-au putut ţine Paştele în ziua aceea. Ei s-au înfăţişat înaintea lui Moise şi a lui Aaron în aceeaşi zi

7 A nd those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the Lord in his appointed season among the children of Israel?

şi i-au zis lui Moise: – Ştim că suntem necuraţi din cauză că ne-am atins de un mort, dar de ce trebuie să fim împiedicaţi să aducem jertfă Domnului la vremea hotărâtă împreună cu ceilalţi israeliţi?

8 A nd Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.

Moise le-a spus: – Aşteptaţi până voi afla ce va porunci Domnul cu privire la voi.

9 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Domnul i-a zis lui Moise:

10 S peak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord.

„Spune-le israeliţilor: «Chiar dacă cineva dintre voi sau dintre urmaşii voştri va fi necurat din cauză că a atins un mort sau va fi departe în călătorie, va putea totuşi să ţină Paştele Domnului.

11 T he fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Să-l ţină în luna a doua, în a paisprezecea zi, între cele două seri; să mănânce mielul de Paşte cu azime şi cu ierburi amare.

12 T hey shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

Să nu lase nimic din el până dimineaţa şi să nu-i zdrobească nici un os. Să ţină Paştele conform tuturor hotărârilor luate cu privire la el.

13 B ut the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

Dar dacă cineva este şi curat, şi nici nu este plecat în călătorie, dar se abţine să ţină Paştele, să fie nimicit din popor pentru că n-a adus jertfă Domnului la vremea hotărâtă; un astfel de om îşi va purta păcatul.

14 A nd if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the Lord; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

Orice străin care locuieşte între voi şi doreşte să sărbătorească Paştele Domnului, să facă acest lucru potrivit legii Paştelui, ţinând cont de hotărârile luate cu privire la el; să aveţi o singură lege atât pentru străin, cât şi pentru băştinaş.»“ Norul de deasupra Tabernaculului

15 A nd on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.

În ziua când a fost înălţat Tabernaculul, norul a acoperit Tabernaculul, adică Cortul Mărturiei; de seara până dimineaţa norul era deasupra Tabernaculului, arătând ca un foc.

16 S o it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

Aşa era tot timpul: ziua, norul acoperea Tabernaculul, iar noaptea arăta ca un foc.

17 A nd when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.

Când norul se ridica de deasupra Cortului, israeliţii porneau din nou la drum şi, acolo unde se oprea norul, acolo îşi aşezau tabăra şi israeliţii.

18 A t the commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

La porunca Domnului israeliţii porneau şi la porunca Domnului israeliţii îşi aşezau tabăra. Ei rămâneau în tabără atâta timp cât norul stătea deasupra Tabernaculului.

19 A nd when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not.

Când norul rămânea mai multe zile deasupra Tabernaculului, israeliţii păzeau porunca Domnului şi nu porneau.

20 A nd so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the Lord they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the Lord they journeyed.

Uneori norul rămânea doar câteva zile deasupra Tabernaculului, astfel că ei rămâneau în tabără la porunca Domnului şi apoi, tot la porunca Domnului porneau.

21 A nd so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

Uneori norul rămânea de seara până dimineaţa, astfel că ei porneau dimineaţa, când norul se ridica. Dacă norul rămânea o zi şi o noapte, ei porneau atunci când se ridica.

22 O r whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.

Dacă norul rămânea deasupra Tabernaculului două zile sau o lună sau mai multe zile, israeliţii rămâneau în tabără şi nu porneau; ei porneau doar atunci când acesta se ridica.

23 A t the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

La porunca Domnului îşi aşezau tabăra şi la porunca Domnului porneau. Ei păzeau porunca Domnului, porunca Domnului dată prin Moise.
