1 U nto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

La Tine, Doamne, îmi înalţ sufletul.

2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

În Tine, Dumnezeule, mă încred: să nu fiu dat de ruşine, ca să nu se bucure vrăjmaşii mei de mine!

3 Y ea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Da, toţi cei ce nădăjduiesc în Tine nu vor fi daţi de ruşine: ci de ruşine vor fi daţi cei ce Te părăsesc fără temei.

4 S hew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.

Arată-mi, Doamne, căile Tale, şi învaţă-mă cărările Tale.

5 L ead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Povăţuieşte-mă în adevărul Tău, şi învaţă-mă; căci Tu eşti Dumnezeul mîntuirii mele, Tu eşti totdeauna nădejdea mea!

6 R emember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Adu-Ţi aminte, Doamne, de îndurarea şi bunătatea Ta; căci sînt vecinice.

7 R emember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

Nu-Ţi aduce aminte de greşelile din tinereţa mea, nici de fărădelegile mele; ci adu-Ţi aminte de mine, după îndurarea Ta, pentru bunătatea Ta, Doamne!

8 G ood and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Domnul este bun şi drept: de aceea arată El păcătoşilor calea.

9 T he meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

El face pe cei smeriţi să umble în tot ce este drept. El învaţă pe cei smeriţi calea Sa.

10 A ll the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Toate cărările Domnului sînt îndurare şi credincioşie, pentru cei ce păzesc legămîntul şi poruncile Lui.

11 F or thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

Pentru Numele Tău, Doamne, iartă-mi fărădelegea, căci mare este!

12 W hat man is he that feareth the Lord ? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Cine este omul, care se teme de Domnul? Aceluia Domnul îi arată calea pe care trebuie s'o aleagă.

13 H is soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

El va locui în fericire, şi sămînţa lui va stăpîni ţara.

14 T he secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Prietenia Domnului este pentru cei ce se tem de El, şi legămîntul făcut cu El le dă învăţătură.

15 M ine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.

Eu îmi întorc necurmat ochii spre Domnul, căci El îmi va scoate picioarele din laţ.

16 T urn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.

Priveşte-mă şi ai milă de mine, căci sînt părăsit şi nenorocit.

17 T he troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.

Neliniştea inimii mele creşte: scoate-mă din necazul meu!

18 L ook upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.

Uită-Te la ticăloşia şi truda mea, şi iartă-mi toate păcatele mele.

19 C onsider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

Vezi cît de mulţi sînt vrăjmaşii mei, şi cu ce ură mare mă urmăresc.

20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Păzeşte-mi sufletul, şi scapă-mă! Nu mă lăsa să fiu dat de ruşine cînd mă încred în Tine!

21 L et integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

Să mă ocrotească nevinovăţia şi neprihănirea, cînd îmi pun nădejdea în Tine!

22 R edeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Izbăveşte, Dumnezeule, pe Israel din toate necazurile lui.
