1 ¶ Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy mercy; according unto the multitude of thy compassion eradicate my rebellion.

2 W ash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

Lávame más y más de mi maldad, Y límpiame de mi pecado.

3 F or I acknowledge my rebellion; and my sin is ever before me.

Porque yo reconozco mis rebeliones; Y mi pecado está siempre delante de mí.

4 A gainst thee, against thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight that thou be declared just in thy word and pure in thy judgment.

A ti, á ti solo he pecado, Y he hecho lo malo delante de tus ojos: Porque seas reconocido justo en tu palabra, Y tenido por puro en tu juicio.

5 B ehold, the pain of my iniquity has caused me to writhe; my mother conceived me so that sin might be removed from me.

He aquí, en maldad he sido formado, Y en pecado me concibió mi madre.

6 B ehold, thou dost desire truth in the inward parts, and in the secret things thou hast made me to know wisdom.

He aquí, tú amas la verdad en lo íntimo: Y en lo secreto me has hecho comprender sabiduría.

7 ¶ Remove the sin in me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Purifícame con hisopo, y será limpio: Lávame, y seré emblanquecido más que la nieve.

8 M ake me to hear joy and gladness that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hazme oir gozo y alegría; Y se recrearán los huesos que has abatido.

9 H ide thy face from my sins and eradicate all my iniquities.

Esconde tu rostro de mis pecados, Y borra todas mis maldades.

10 C reate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio; Y renueva un espíritu recto dentro de mí.

11 C ast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.

No me eches de delante de ti; Y no quites de mí tu santo espíritu.

12 R estore unto me the joy of thy saving health, and thy spirit of liberty shall uphold me.

Vuélveme el gozo de tu salud; Y el espíritu libre me sustente.

13 T hen I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Enseñaré á los prevaricadores tus caminos; Y los pecadores se convertirán á ti.

14 ¶ Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

Líbrame de homicidios, oh Dios, Dios de mi salud: Cantará mi lengua tu justicia.

15 O Lord, open my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

Señor, abre mis labios; Y publicará mi boca tu alabanza.

16 F or thou dost not desire sacrifice or else would I give it; thou dost not delight in burnt offering.

Porque no quieres tú sacrificio, que yo daría; No quieres holocausto.

17 T he sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Los sacrificios de Dios son el espíritu quebrantado: Al corazón contrito y humillado no despreciarás tú, oh Dios.

18 D o good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Haz bien con tu benevolencia á Sión: Edifica los muros de Jerusalem.

19 T hen thou shalt be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, the burnt offering, the offering that has been totally consumed by the fire; then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Entonces te agradarán los sacrificios de justicia, el holocausto ú ofrenda del todo quemada: Entonces ofrecerán sobre tu altar becerros.
