1 O Lord my God, in You I take refuge and put my trust; save me from all those who pursue and persecute me, and deliver me,

(7: 1) Complainte de David. Chantée à l'Éternel, au sujet de Cusch, Benjamite. (7: 2) Éternel, mon Dieu! je cherche en toi mon refuge; Sauve-moi de tous mes persécuteurs, et délivre-moi,

2 L est my foe tear my life like a lion, dragging me away while there is none to deliver.

(7: 3) Afin qu'il ne me déchire pas, comme un lion Qui dévore sans que personne vienne au secours.

3 O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands,

(7: 4) Éternel, mon Dieu! si j'ai fait cela, S'il y a de l'iniquité dans mes mains,

4 I f I have paid back with evil him who was at peace with me or without cause have robbed him who was my enemy,

(7: 5) Si j'ai rendu le mal à celui qui était paisible envers moi, Si j'ai dépouillé celui qui m'opprimait sans cause,

5 L et the enemy pursue my life and take it; yes, let him trample my life to the ground and lay my honor in the dust. Selah!

(7: 6) Que l'ennemi me poursuive et m'atteigne, Qu'il foule à terre ma vie, Et qu'il couche ma gloire dans la poussière! -Pause.

6 A rise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift up Yourself against the rage of my enemies; and awake for me the justice and vindication You have commanded.

(7: 7) Lève-toi, ô Éternel! dans ta colère, Lève-toi contre la fureur de mes adversaires, Réveille-toi pour me secourir, ordonne un jugement!

7 L et the assembly of the peoples be gathered about You, and return on high over them.

(7: 8) Que l'assemblée des peuples t'environne! Monte au-dessus d'elle vers les lieux élevés!

8 T he Lord judges the people; judge me, O Lord, and do me justice according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.

(7: 9) L'Éternel juge les peuples: Rends-moi justice, ô Éternel! Selon mon droit et selon mon innocence!

9 O h, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; for You, Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God.

(7: 10) Mets un terme à la malice des méchants, Et affermis le juste, Toi qui sondes les coeurs et les reins, Dieu juste!

10 M y defense and shield depend on God, Who saves the upright in heart.

(7: 11) Mon bouclier est en Dieu, Qui sauve ceux dont le coeur est droit.

11 G od is a righteous Judge, yes, a God Who is indignant every day.

(7: 12) Dieu est un juste juge, Dieu s'irrite en tout temps.

12 I f a man does not turn and repent, will whet His sword; He has strung and bent His bow and made it ready.

(7: 13) Si le méchant ne se convertit pas, il aiguise son glaive, Il bande son arc, et il vise;

13 H e has also prepared for him deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.

(7: 14) Il dirige sur lui des traits meurtriers, Il rend ses flèches brûlantes.

14 B ehold, conceives iniquity and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.

(7: 15) Voici, le méchant prépare le mal, Il conçoit l'iniquité, et il enfante le néant.

15 H e made a pit and hollowed it out and has fallen into the hole which he made.

(7: 16) Il ouvre une fosse, il la creuse, Et il tombe dans la fosse qu'il a faite.

16 H is mischief shall fall back in return upon his own head, and his violence come down upon his own scalp.

(7: 17) Son iniquité retombe sur sa tête, Et sa violence redescend sur son front.

17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His rightness and justice, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

(7: 18) Je louerai l'Éternel à cause de sa justice, Je chanterai le nom de l'Éternel, du Très Haut.
