1 T hen I heard a mighty voice from the temple sanctuary saying to the seven angels, Go and empty out on the earth the seven bowls of God’s wrath and indignation.

Et j'entendis une voix forte qui venait du temple, et qui disait aux sept anges: Allez, et versez sur la terre les sept coupes de la colère de Dieu.

2 S o the first went and emptied his bowl on the earth, and foul and painful ulcers (sores) came on the people who were marked with the stamp of the beast and who did homage to his image.

Le premier alla, et il versa sa coupe sur la terre. Et un ulcère malin et douloureux frappa les hommes qui avaient la marque de la bête et qui adoraient son image.

3 T he second emptied his bowl into the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a corpse, and every living thing that was in the sea perished.

Le second versa sa coupe dans la mer. Et elle devint du sang, comme celui d'un mort; et tout être vivant mourut, tout ce qui était dans la mer.

4 T hen the third emptied out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into (became) blood.

Le troisième versa sa coupe dans les fleuves et dans les sources d'eaux. Et ils devinrent du sang.

5 A nd I also heard the angel of the waters say, Righteous (just) are You in these Your decisions and judgments, You Who are and were, O Holy One!

Et j'entendis l'ange des eaux qui disait: Tu es juste, toi qui es, et qui étais; tu es saint, parce que tu as exercé ce jugement.

6 B ecause they have poured out the blood of Your people (the saints) and the prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. Such is their due!

Car ils ont versé le sang des saints et des prophètes, et tu leur as donné du sang à boire: ils en sont dignes.

7 A nd the altar I heard cry, Yes, Lord God the Omnipotent, Your judgments (sentences, decisions) are true and just and righteous!

Et j'entendis l'autel qui disait: Oui, Seigneur Dieu tout puissant, tes jugements sont véritables et justes.

8 T hen the fourth emptied out his bowl upon the sun, and it was permitted to burn (scorch) humanity with heat (fire).

Le quatrième versa sa coupe sur le soleil. Et il lui fut donné de brûler les hommes par le feu;

9 P eople were severely burned (scorched) by the fiery heat, and they reviled and blasphemed the name of God, Who has control of these plagues, and they did not repent of their sins to give Him glory.

et les hommes furent brûlés par une grande chaleur, et ils blasphémèrent le nom du Dieu qui a l'autorité sur ces fléaux, et ils ne se repentirent pas pour lui donner gloire.

10 T hen the fifth emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was in darkness; and people gnawed their tongues for the torment

Le cinquième versa sa coupe sur le trône de la bête. Et son royaume fut couvert de ténèbres; et les hommes se mordaient la langue de douleur,

11 A nd blasphemed the God of heaven because of their anguish and their ulcers (sores), and they did not deplore their wicked deeds or repent.

et ils blasphémèrent le Dieu du ciel, à cause de leurs douleurs et de leurs ulcères, et ils ne se repentirent pas de leurs oeuvres.

12 T hen the sixth emptied his bowl on the mighty river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to make ready a road for the kings of the east (from the rising sun).

Le sixième versa sa coupe sur le grand fleuve, l'Euphrate. Et son eau tarit, afin que le chemin des rois venant de l'Orient fût préparé.

13 A nd I saw three loathsome spirits like frogs, from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet.

Et je vis sortir de la bouche du dragon, et de la bouche de la bête, et de la bouche du faux prophète, trois esprits impurs, semblables à des grenouilles.

14 F or really they are the spirits of demons that perform signs (wonders, miracles). And they go forth to the rulers and leaders all over the world, to gather them together for war on the great day of God the Almighty.

Car ce sont des esprits de démons, qui font des prodiges, et qui vont vers les rois de toute la terre, afin de les rassembler pour le combat du grand jour du Dieu tout puissant.

15 B ehold, I am going to come like a thief! Blessed (happy, to be envied) is he who stays awake (alert) and who guards his clothes, so that he may not be naked and seen exposed!

Voici, je viens comme un voleur. Heureux celui qui veille, et qui garde ses vêtements, afin qu'il ne marche pas nu et qu'on ne voie pas sa honte! -

16 A nd they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

Ils les rassemblèrent dans le lieu appelé en hébreu Harmaguédon.

17 T hen the seventh emptied out his bowl into the air, and a mighty voice came out of the sanctuary of heaven from the throne, saying, It is done!

Le septième versa sa coupe dans l'air. Et il sortit du temple, du trône, une voix forte qui disait: C'en est fait!

18 A nd there followed lightning flashes, loud rumblings, peals of thunder, and a tremendous earthquake; nothing like it has ever occurred since men dwelt on the earth, so severe and far-reaching was that earthquake.

Et il y eut des éclairs, des voix, des tonnerres, et un grand tremblement de terre, tel qu'il n'y avait jamais eu depuis que l'homme est sur la terre, un aussi grand tremblement.

19 T he mighty city was broken into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And God kept in mind mighty Babylon, to make her drain the cup of His furious wrath and indignation.

Et la grande ville fut divisée en trois parties, et les villes des nations tombèrent, et Dieu, se souvint de Babylone la grande, pour lui donner la coupe du vin de son ardente colère.

20 A nd every island fled and no mountains could be found.

Et toutes les îles s'enfuirent, et les montagnes ne furent pas retrouvées.

21 A nd great (excessively oppressive) hailstones, as heavy as a talent, of immense size, fell from the sky on the people; and men blasphemed God for the plague of the hail, so very great was of that plague.

Et une grosse grêle, dont les grêlons pesaient un talent, tomba du ciel sur les hommes; et les hommes blasphémèrent Dieu, à cause du fléau de la grêle, parce que ce fléau était très grand.
