1 Y ahweh says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”

Salmo di Davide. Il Signore ha detto al mio Signore: «Siedi alla mia destra finché io abbia fatto dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi ».

2 Y ahweh will send out the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule among your enemies.

Il Signore stenderà da Sion lo scettro del tuo potere. Domina in mezzo ai tuoi nemici!

3 Y our people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array. Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.

Il tuo popolo si offre volenteroso quando raduni il tuo esercito. Parata di santità, dal seno dell’alba la tua gioventù viene a te come rugiada.

4 Y ahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

Il Signore ha giurato e non si pentirà: «Tu sei Sacerdote in eterno, secondo l’ordine di Melchisedec ».

5 T he Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.

Il Signore, alla tua destra, schiaccia dei re nel giorno della sua ira,

6 H e will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.

giudica i popoli, ammucchia i cadaveri, stritola la testa ai nemici in un vasto territorio.

7 H e will drink of the brook on the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

Si disseta al torrente lungo il cammino e perciò terrà alta la testa.
