Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord.

2 c he state nella casa dell'Eterno, nei cortili della casa del nostro DIO.

Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.

3 L odate l'Eterno, perché l'Eterno è buono; cantate lodi al suo nome, perché è amabile.

Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

4 P oiché l'Eterno ha scelto per sé Giacobbe, e Israele per suo particolare tesoro.

For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

5 S ì io riconosco che l'Eterno è grande e che il nostro Signore è al di sopra di tutti gli dèi.

For I know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

6 L 'Eterno fa tutto ciò che gli piace, in cielo e in terra, nei mari e in tutti gli abissi.

Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

7 E gli fa salire i vapori dall'estremità della terra, produce i lampi per la pioggia, fa uscire il vento dai suoi depositi.

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

8 E gli percosse i primogeniti d'Egitto, tanto degli uomini come degli animali;

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

9 m andò segni e prodigi in mezzo a te, o Egitto, sul Faraone e su tutti i suoi servi

Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

10 E gli percosse grandi nazioni e uccise re potenti:

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

11 S ihon, re degli Amorei, Og, re di Bashan, e tutti i regni di Canaan.

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

12 E diede i loro paesi in eredità, in eredità a Israele, suo popolo.

And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

13 O Eterno, il tuo nome dura per sempre; il tuo ricordo, o Eterno, d'età in età.

Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O Lord, throughout all generations.

14 P oiché l'Eterno farà giustizia al suo popolo e avrà compassione dei suoi servi.

For the Lord will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

15 G li idoli delle nazioni, sono argento e oro, opera di mano d'uomo:

The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

16 h anno bocca ma non parlano, hanno occhi ma non vedono,

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

17 h anno orecchi ma non odono; non hanno fiato nella loro bocca.

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 S imili ad essi sono quelli che li fanno, chiunque in essi confida.

They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

19 C asa d'Israele, benedici l'Eterno; casa di Aaronne, benedici l'Eterno.

Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron:

20 C asa di Levi, benedici l'Eterno; voi che temete l'Eterno, benedite l'Eterno.

Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.

21 D a Sion sia benedetto l'Eterno, che abita in Gerusalemme. Alleluia.

Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
