1 I n that same year, in the beginning of the rule of King Zedekiah of Judah, in the fifth month of the fourth year, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the man from Gibeon who told what would happen in the future, spoke to me in the house of the Lord. He said to me in front of the religious leaders and all the people,

В същата година, в началото на царуването на Юдейския цар Седекия, в четвъртата година, в петия месец, пророк Анания, Азоровият син, който беше от Гаваон, ми говорѝ в Господния дом пред свещениците и пред целия народ:

2 “ This is what the Lord of All, the God of Israel, says: ‘I have broken the crossbar across the shoulders of the king of Babylon.

Така говори Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Строших хомота на вавилонския цар.

3 W ithin two years I will bring back to this place all the objects of the Lord’s house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from here and carried to Babylon.

В течение на две цели години ще върна в това място всички съдове на Господния дом, които вавилонският цар Навуходоносор взе от това място и занесе във Вавилон;

4 I will also bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the people of Judah who were taken to Babylon,’ says the Lord. ‘For I will break the cross-bar of the king of Babylon.’”

и в това място ще върна, казва Господ, Юдейския цар Йехония, Йоакимовия син, и всички Юдейски пленници, които отидоха във Вавилон; защото ще строша хомота на вавилонския цар.

5 T hen Jeremiah, the man of God, spoke to Hananiah, the man who told what would happen, in front of the religious leaders and all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord.

Тогава пророк Йеремия говорѝ на пророк Анания пред свещениците и пред целия народ, които стояха в Господния дом;

6 A nd Jeremiah, the man who spoke for God, said, “Let it be so! May the Lord do so. May the Lord make the words you have spoken come true, and bring back to this place from Babylon the objects of the Lord’s house and all the people of Judah.

и пророк Йеремия каза: Амин! Господ да направи така! Господ да изпълни думите, които си пророкувал, и да върне от Вавилон в това място съдовете на Господния дом и всички, които са били пленени.

7 Y et listen now to what I am about to say in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people.

Обаче чуй сега това слово, което аз говоря в ушите ти и в ушите на целия народ:

8 T he men who spoke for God before us from long ago spoke of war and trouble and disease coming to many lands and great nations.

Пророците, които са били преди мен и преди теб от старо време, пророкуваха против много страни и против много големи царства за война, за зло и за мор.

9 A s for the man who told that peace would come, when his word comes to pass, then that man will be known as the one that the Lord has sent.”

Пророкът, който пророкува за мир - когато се изпълни думата му, тогава ще се познае, че той е пророк, когото Господ наистина е пратил.

10 T hen Hananiah, the man who told what would happen, took the cross-bar from the neck of Jeremiah the man of God and broke it.

Тогава пророк Анания взе хомота от врата на пророк Йеремия и го строши.

11 A nd Hananiah said in front of all the people, “The Lord says, ‘In this way I will break the cross-bar of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations within two years.’” Then Jeremiah the man of God went his way.

И Анания говорѝ пред целия народ: Така казва Господ: По този начин ще строша хомота на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор от врата на всички народи в течение на две цели години. И пророк Йеремия отиде по пътя си.

12 S ome time after Hananiah had broken the cross-bar from off the neck of Jeremiah, the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,

Тогава Господнето слово дойде към Йеремия, след като пророк Анания беше строшил хомота от врата му, и каза:

13 “ Go and tell Hananiah, ‘The Lord says, “You have broken the cross-bars of wood, but you have made bars of iron in their place.”

Иди и говори на Анания: Така казва Господ: Ти строши дървените хомоти; но вместо тях ще направиш железни хомоти.

14 F or the Lord of All, the God of Israel, says, “I have put the cross-bar of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. And they will serve him. I have given him the animals of the field also.”’”

Защото така казва Господ на Силите, Израелевият Бог: Железен хомот сложих на врата на всички тези народи, за да слугуват на вавилонския цар Навуходоносор; и ще му слугуват; дадох му още и полските зверове.

15 T hen Jeremiah who spoke for God said to Hananiah who told what would happen, “Listen, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you. And you have made these people trust in a lie.

Тогава пророк Йеремия каза на пророк Анания: Слушай сега, Анания, Господ не те е пратил; но ти подвеждаш този народ да уповава на лъжа.

16 S o the Lord says, ‘See, I am about to take you from the earth. This year you are going to die, because you have spoken against the right and power of the Lord.’”

Затова така казва Господ: Ето, Аз ще те отпратя от лицето на земята! Тази година ще умреш, защото си проповядвал бунт против Господа.

17 S o Hananiah, who had said these things in God’s name, died in the seventh month of the same year.

И така, пророк Анания умря същата година, в седмия месец.
