1 B ow down thine ear, O Jehovah, and answer me; For I am poor and needy.

Señor, inclina tu oído y escúchame, pues me encuentro afligido y necesitado.

2 P reserve my soul; for I am godly: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

Sálvame la vida, pues te soy fiel. Dios mío, salva a tu siervo, que en ti confía.

3 B e merciful unto me, O Lord; For unto thee do I cry all the day long.

Señor, ten misericordia de mí, porque a ti clamo todo el día.

4 R ejoice the soul of thy servant; For unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

Alegra la vida de este siervo tuyo, porque a ti, Señor, elevo mi alma.

5 F or thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in lovingkindness unto all them that call upon thee.

Tú, Señor, eres bondadoso y sabes perdonar; ¡grande es tu misericordia para los que te invocan!

6 G ive ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer; And hearken unto the voice of my supplications.

Señor, escucha mi oración y atiende a la voz de mis súplicas.

7 I n the day of my trouble I will call upon thee; For thou wilt answer me.

Cuando me encuentro angustiado, te llamo porque tú me respondes.

8 T here is none like unto thee among the gods, O Lord; Neither are there any works like unto thy works.

Señor, no hay entre los dioses otro como tú, ni hay obras que se comparen con tus obras.

9 A ll nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; And they shall glorify thy name.

Todas las naciones que tú, Señor, has creado vendrán y se postrarán delante de ti y glorificarán tu nombre,

10 F or thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.

porque sólo tú eres Dios; tú eres grande, y haces maravillas.

11 T each me thy way, O Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: Unite my heart to fear thy name.

Enséñame, Señor, tu camino, para que camine yo en tu verdad. Dale firmeza a mi corazón, para que siempre tema tu nombre.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; And I will glorify thy name for evermore.

Señor y Dios mío, yo te alabaré con todo el corazón, y por siempre glorificaré tu nombre.

13 F or great is thy lovingkindness toward me; And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

Grande es tu misericordia para conmigo, pues me has librado de caer en el sepulcro.

14 O God, the proud are risen up against me, And a company of violent men have sought after my soul, And have not set thee before them.

Dios mío, gente soberbia se levanta contra mí; gente violenta hace planes para quitarme la vida. Son gente que no te toma en cuenta.

15 B ut thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.

Pero tú, Señor, eres un Dios compasivo y clemente, lento para la ira, pero grande en misericordia y verdad.

16 O h turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; Give thy strength unto thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.

¡Dígnate mirarme, y ten misericordia de mí! ¡Lléname de tu poder, pues soy tu siervo! ¡Protégeme, pues soy el hijo de tu sierva!

17 S how me a token for good, That they who hate me may see it, and be put to shame, Because thou, Jehovah, hast helped me, and comforted me.

¡Dame una prueba de tu bondad! ¡Que sean avergonzados los que me odian al ver que tú, Señor, me ayudas y me consuelas!
