1 J udge not, that ye be not judged.

»No juzguen, para que no sean juzgados.

2 F or with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.

Porque con el juicio con que ustedes juzgan, serán juzgados; y con la medida con que miden, serán medidos.

3 A nd why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no miras la viga que está en tu propio ojo?

4 O r how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye?

¿Cómo dirás a tu hermano: “Déjame sacar la paja de tu ojo”, cuando tienes una viga en el tuyo?

5 T hou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

¡Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.

6 G ive not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

»No den ustedes lo santo a los perros, ni echen sus perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que las pisoteen, y se vuelvan contra ustedes y los despedacen. La oración, y la regla de oro

7 A sk, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

»Pidan, y se les dará, busquen, y encontrarán, llamen, y se les abrirá.

8 f or every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Porque todo aquel que pide, recibe, y el que busca, encuentra, y al que llama, se le abre.

9 O r what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;

¿Quién de ustedes, si su hijo le pide pan, le da una piedra?

10 o r if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?

¿O si le pide un pescado, le da una serpiente?

11 I f ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Pues si ustedes, que son malos, saben dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, ¡cuánto más su Padre que está en los cielos dará buenas cosas a los que le pidan!

12 A ll things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Así que, todo lo que quieran que la gente haga con ustedes, eso mismo hagan ustedes con ellos, porque en esto se resumen la ley y los profetas. La puerta estrecha

13 E nter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.

»Entren por la puerta estrecha, porque ancha es la puerta y espacioso el camino que lleva a la perdición, y muchos son los que entran por ella.

14 F or narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.

Pero estrecha es la puerta y angosto el camino que lleva a la vida, y pocos son los que la encuentran. Según el árbol es el fruto

15 B eware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.

»Cuídense de los falsos profetas, que vienen a ustedes disfrazados de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.

16 B y their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Ustedes los conocerán por sus frutos, pues no se recogen uvas de los espinos, ni higos de los abrojos.

17 E ven so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Del mismo modo, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos, pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

El buen árbol no puede dar frutos malos, ni el árbol malo dar frutos buenos.

19 E very tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Todo árbol que no da buen fruto, es cortado y echado en el fuego.

20 T herefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Así que ustedes los conocerán por sus frutos. Jesús conoce a los suyos

21 N ot every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

»No todo el que me dice: “Señor, Señor”, entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

22 M any will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?

En aquel día, muchos me dirán: “Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre, y en tu nombre echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?”

23 A nd then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Pero yo les diré claramente: “Nunca los conocí. ¡Apártense de mí, obreros de la maldad!” Los dos cimientos

24 E very one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:

»A cualquiera que me oye estas palabras, y las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre prudente, que edificó su casa sobre la roca.

25 a nd the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock.

Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, pero ésta no se vino abajo, porque estaba fundada sobre la roca.

26 A nd every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand:

Por otro lado, a cualquiera que me oye estas palabras y no las pone en práctica, lo compararé a un hombre insensato, que edificó su casa sobre la arena.

27 a nd the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof.

Cayó la lluvia, vinieron los ríos, y soplaron los vientos, y azotaron aquella casa, y ésta se vino abajo, y su ruina fue estrepitosa.»

28 A nd it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these words, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching:

Cuando Jesús terminó de hablar, la gente se admiraba de su enseñanza,

29 f or he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

porque les enseñaba como quien tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.
