1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

El Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

2 S peak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

«Habla con los hijos de Israel, y diles que cuando alguien me haga un voto especial, el cálculo se hará según el número de personas que se hayan de redimir.

3 A nd thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

Los varones de veinte a sesenta años los calcularás en cincuenta monedas de plata, según el peso oficial del santuario;

4 A nd if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.

las mujeres, las estimarás en treinta monedas de plata.

5 A nd if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Los varones de cinco a veinte años los calcularás en veinte monedas; las mujeres, en diez monedas.

6 A nd if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

Los varones de un mes y hasta cinco años, los calcularás en cinco monedas de plata; las mujeres, en tres monedas de plata.

7 A nd if it be from sixty years old and upward; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Los varones mayores de sesenta años los calcularás en quince monedas; las mujeres, en diez.

8 B ut if he be poorer than thy estimation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the ability of him that vowed shall the priest value him.

»Si quien hizo el voto es muy pobre para pagar el rescate calculado, deberá ser llevado ante el sacerdote para que éste fije el precio, según las posibilidades del que hizo el voto.

9 A nd if it be a beast, whereof men offer an oblation unto Jehovah, all that any man giveth of such unto Jehovah shall be holy.

»Si se trata de uno de los animales que suelen presentarse al Señor como ofrenda, ese animal presentado al Señor quedará consagrado.

10 H e shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good: and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy.

No podrá ser cambiado ni trocado, ni bueno por malo, ni malo por bueno. En caso de permutar un animal por otro, ambos animales quedarán consagrados.

11 A nd if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer an oblation unto Jehovah, then he shall set the beast before the priest;

»Si el animal presentado es impuro, es decir, de los que no se ofrecen al Señor, se pondrá el animal delante del sacerdote,

12 a nd the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou the priest valuest it, so shall it be.

y éste determinará si el animal es bueno o malo, y prevalecerá la estimación del sacerdote.

13 B ut if he will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part thereof unto thy estimation.

Si el que presenta el animal quiere rescatarlo, deberá pagar una quinta parte más del valor calculado.

14 A nd when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto Jehovah, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.

»Si alguien dedica su casa y la consagra al Señor, el sacerdote determinará si ésta es buena o mala, y prevalecerá la estimación del sacerdote.

15 A nd if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be his.

»Si el que dedica la casa desea rescatarla, deberá pagar una quinta parte más del valor calculado, y entonces la casa será suya.

16 A nd if a man shall sanctify unto Jehovah part of the field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the sowing thereof: the sowing of a homer of barley shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

»Si alguien dedica al Señor una parte de su terreno familiar, su valor se calculará según lo que se siembre en ella. Por cada doscientos litros de semilla de cebada se pagarán cincuenta monedas de plata.

17 I f he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

»Si el terreno se dedica a partir del año del jubileo, prevalecerá el valor calculado.

18 B ut if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from thy estimation.

»Si el terreno se dedica después del jubileo, entonces el sacerdote calculará su valor según los años que falten hasta el año del jubileo, y el valor calculado se reducirá.

19 A nd if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

»Si el que dedica el terreno quiere redimirlo, deberá pagar una quinta parte más del valor calculado, y entonces el terreno será suyo.

20 A nd if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more:

»Si el que dedica el terreno no lo rescata, y éste se vende a otro, ya no podrá rescatarlo.

21 b ut the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy unto Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's.

Cuando llegue el jubileo y el terreno sea liberado, quedará consagrado al Señor como tierra santa, y pasará a ser propiedad sacerdotal.

22 A nd if he sanctify unto Jehovah a field which he hath bought, which is not of the field of his possession;

»Si alguien compra un terreno que no era de su herencia familiar, y lo dedica al Señor,

23 t hen the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy estimation unto the year of jubilee: and he shall give thine estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto Jehovah.

entonces el sacerdote calculará su valor hasta el año del jubileo, y ese día se deberá pagar el precio señalado. Se trata de una ofrenda consagrada al Señor.

24 I n the year of jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongeth.

En el año del jubileo el terreno volverá a ser propiedad familiar de quien lo había comprado.

25 A nd all thy estimations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

»Todos los cálculos se harán según el peso oficial del santuario, que es el siclo de diez gramos de plata.

26 O nly the firstling among beasts, which is made a firstling to Jehovah, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox or sheep, it is Jehovah's.

»La primera cría de los animales, sea un ternero o una oveja, no podrá ser dedicado. Se trata de un primogénito, y le pertenece al Señor.

27 A nd if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall ransom it according to thine estimation, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof: or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy estimation.

»Si esta primera cría es de animales impuros, podrá ser rescatada según el valor calculado, más una quinta parte de ese valor. Si no es rescatada, se venderá según el valor calculado.

28 N otwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto Jehovah of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto Jehovah.

»No podrá venderse ni rescatarse nada que haya sido consagrado por completo al Señor. Trátese de hombres o animales, o de terrenos de su posesión, todo lo consagrado por completo al Señor es una ofrenda santísima.

29 N o one devoted, that shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

Ninguna persona consagrada por completo al Señor podrá ser rescatada. Indefectiblemente será condenada a muerte.

30 A nd all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Jehovah's: it is holy unto Jehovah.

»El diezmo de la tierra es del Señor, lo mismo de la simiente de la tierra como del fruto de los árboles. Se trata de una ofrenda consagrada al Señor.

31 A nd if a man will redeem aught of his tithe, he shall add unto it the fifth part thereof.

»Si alguien quiere rescatar algo del diezmo, deberá para ello añadir la quinta parte de su valor.

32 A nd all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto Jehovah.

»El diezmo de las vacas o de las ovejas, es decir, de todos los animales que pasan bajo la vara, será consagrado al Señor.

33 H e shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

No se verá si el animal es bueno o malo, ni se cambiará por otro animal. En caso de cambiarlo, tanto el primer animal como el dado a cambio quedarán consagrados y no podrán ser rescatados.»

34 T hese are the commandments, which Jehovah commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.

Éstos son los mandamientos que el Señor dio a Moisés en el monte de Sinaí para los hijos de Israel.
