1 T he hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.

La mano del Señor vino y se posó sobre mí, y en el espíritu del Señor me llevó hasta un valle que estaba lleno de huesos, y me puso en medio de ese valle.

2 A nd he caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Luego me hizo dar de vueltas y pasar cerca de los huesos, los cuales eran muchísimos y bastante secos, y estaban a flor de tierra.

3 A nd he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest.

Y el Señor me preguntó: «Hijo de hombre, ¿cobrarán vida estos huesos?» Yo le contesté: «Señor y Dios, tú lo sabes.»

4 A gain he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah.

Entonces el Señor me dijo: «Profetiza sobre estos huesos, y diles: “Huesos secos, oigan la palabra del Señor.

5 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

Esto es lo que Dios el Señor les dice: ‘Huesos, voy a hacer que entre en ustedes el espíritu, y ustedes volverán a vivir.’

6 A nd I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Voy a poner tendones en ustedes, y volveré a cubrirlos de carne y de piel; pondré también el espíritu en ustedes, y volverán a vivir.” Así sabrán que yo soy el Señor.»

7 S o I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and, behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.

Yo profeticé, tal y como se me ordenó, y mientras yo profetizaba hubo un ruido y un temblor, y los huesos se juntaron el uno con el otro.

8 A nd I beheld, and, lo, there were sinews upon them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

Me fijé, y vi que ya tenían tendones, y que se cubrían de carne, y que se iban revistiendo de piel. Pero aún no había en ellos espíritu.

9 T hen said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Entonces el Señor me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, profetiza al espíritu. Háblale y dile que así ha dicho Dios el Señor: “Espíritu, ven de los cuatro vientos y sopla sobre estos huesos muertos, para que cobren vida.”»

10 S o I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Yo profeticé, tal y como se me ordenó, y el espíritu entró en ellos y cobraron vida, y se pusieron de pie. Eran un ejército bastante numeroso.

11 T hen he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.

Entonces el Señor me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, todos estos huesos son el pueblo de Israel. Ellos dicen: “Nuestros huesos se han secado; ha muerto nuestra esperanza; ¡hemos sido destruidos por completo!”

12 T herefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

Por eso, profetiza y diles que yo, su Señor y Dios, he dicho: “Pueblo mío, voy a abrir los sepulcros de ustedes; voy a levantarlos de sus sepulturas para traerlos de nuevo a la tierra de Israel.

13 A nd ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, O my people.

Y cuando yo abra sus sepulcros y los saque de sus sepulturas, ustedes, pueblo mío, sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

14 A nd I will put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it and performed it, saith Jehovah.

Entonces pondré mi espíritu en ustedes, y volverán a vivir.” Sí, yo los haré reposar en su tierra, y así sabrán que yo, el Señor, lo dije y lo cumplí.» —Palabra del Señor. Judá e Israel volverán a unirse

15 T he word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying,

La palabra del Señor vino a mí, y me dijo:

16 A nd thou, son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

«Hijo de hombre, toma la rama de un árbol y escribe en ella: “De Judá y de sus compañeros, los hijos de Israel.” Toma luego otra rama, y escribe en ella: “De José, que es Efraín, y de sus compañeros, el pueblo de Israel.”

17 a nd join them for thee one to another into one stick, that they may become one in thy hand.

Junta luego las dos ramas, de tal manera que en tu mano formen una sola rama.

18 A nd when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou meanest by these?

Y cuando los hijos de tu pueblo te pregunten: “¿No vas a decirnos qué es lo que te propones con esto?”,

19 s ay unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.

les dirás que yo, su Señor y Dios, he dicho: “Fíjense bien: he tomado la rama que está en la mano de Efraín, y que representa a José y a sus compañeros, las tribus de Israel, y voy a juntarla con la rama que representa a Judá, para que en mi mano formen una sola rama.”

20 A nd the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes.

Las ramas sobre las cuales escribiste los nombres, las sostendrás en tu mano para que puedan verlas,

21 A nd say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

y entonces les dirás que yo, su Señor y Dios, he dicho: “Fíjense bien: voy a sacar a los hijos de Israel de las naciones a las que fueron llevados; voy a recogerlos de todas partes, y los traeré a su tierra.

22 a nd I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;

Allí, en su tierra, y en los montes de Israel, haré de ellos una nación, y tendrán un solo rey, y nunca más serán dos naciones ni volverán a dividirse en dos reinos.

23 n either shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

Tampoco volverán a contaminarse con sus ídolos, ni con sus hechos repugnantes ni con ninguna de sus rebeliones. Voy a librarlos y a limpiarlos de todas las rebeliones con las cuales pecaron, y ellos serán mi pueblo, y yo seré su Dios.”

24 A nd my servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in mine ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.

»Mi siervo David reinará sobre ellos, y todos ellos tendrán un solo pastor. Andarán en mis preceptos, y obedecerán y practicarán mis estatutos.

25 A nd they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.

Habitarán en la tierra que le di a mi siervo Jacob, y en la cual habitaron sus padres. Allí habitarán para siempre ellos, y sus hijos y los hijos de sus hijos, y para siempre mi siervo David será su príncipe.

26 M oreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Yo haré con ellos un pacto perpetuo de paz; haré que se establezcan y se multipliquen, y para siempre pondré mi santuario entre ellos.

27 M y tabernacle also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Allí, en medio de ellos, estará mi tabernáculo, y yo seré su Dios y ellos serán mi pueblo.

28 A nd the nations shall know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Y cuando mi santuario esté para siempre en medio de ellos, las naciones sabrán que yo, el Señor, santifico a Israel.»
