1 M ake a joyful noise unto God, all the earth:

3 S ay unto God, How terrible are thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

Digan a Dios: «¡Tus obras son asombrosas! ¡Con tu gran poder sometes a tus enemigos!»

4 A ll the earth shall worship thee, And shall sing unto thee; They shall sing to thy name. Selah

¡Toda la tierra te rinde adoración y canta salmos a tu nombre!

5 C ome, and see the works of God; He is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

Vengan a ver las obras de Dios, sus hechos sorprendentes en favor de los hombres.

6 H e turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot: There did we rejoice in him.

Convirtió el mar en terreno seco, y ellos cruzaron el río por su propio pie. ¡Alegrémonos por lo que hizo allí!

7 H e ruleth by his might for ever; His eyes observe the nations: Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

Por su poder, él nos gobierna para siempre; sus ojos vigilan atentamente a las naciones; por eso los rebeldes no lograrán levantarse.

8 O h bless our God, ye peoples, And make the voice of his praise to be heard;

Pueblos todos: ¡bendigan a nuestro Dios! ¡Hagan resonar la voz de su alabanza!

9 W ho holdeth our soul in life, And suffereth not our feet to be moved.

Tú, Señor, nos has preservado la vida, y no has dejado que resbalen nuestros pies.

10 F or thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

Tú, Dios nuestro, nos has puesto a prueba; nos has refinado como se refina la plata.

11 T hou broughtest us into the net; Thou layedst a sore burden upon our loins.

Pero nos dejaste caer en la trampa; ¡impusiste sobre nosotros una pesada carga!

12 T hou didst cause men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

Caballos y jinetes han pasado sobre nosotros; hemos pasado por el fuego y por el agua, pero al final nos has llevado a la abundancia.

13 I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows,

Entraré en tu templo con holocaustos, y allí te cumpliré mis promesas,

14 W hich my lips uttered, And my mouth spake, when I was in distress.

las promesas que, en mi angustia, pronuncié con mis propios labios.

15 I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, With the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah

Te ofreceré holocaustos de los mejores animales, te ofreceré sahumerio de carneros y sacrificios de bueyes y machos cabríos.

16 C ome, and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Ustedes todos, los que temen a Dios, vengan y escuchen lo que él ha hecho conmigo.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth, And he was extolled with my tongue.

Con mis labios le pedí ayuda; con mi lengua exalté su nombre.

18 I f I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear:

Si mi corazón se hubiera fijado en la maldad, el Señor no me habría escuchado.

19 B ut verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

Pero lo cierto es que Dios me escuchó y atendió a la voz de mi súplica.

20 B lessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, Nor his lovingkindness from me.

¡Bendito sea Dios, que no rechazó mi oración ni me escatimó su misericordia!
