1 T hen I looked, and behold, in the firmament that was over the head of the cherubim there appeared above them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Me fijé, y vi que en la bóveda que estaba por encima de la cabeza de los querubines había algo parecido a una piedra de zafiro, y que parecía ser un trono.

2 A nd he spake unto the man clothed in linen, and said, Go in between the whirling wheels, even under the cherub, and fill both thy hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.

El Señor le dijo entonces al que estaba vestido de lino: «Métete entre las ruedas que están debajo de los querubines, llénate las manos con las brasas que están entre ellos, y espárcelas sobre la ciudad.» Yo lo vi meterse entre las ruedas.

3 N ow the cherubim stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

Cuando se metió, los querubines estaban a la derecha del templo y una nube llenaba el atrio interior.

4 A nd the glory of Jehovah mounted up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of Jehovah's glory.

Entonces la gloria del Señor se elevó por encima del querubín que estaba en el umbral de la puerta, y el templo se llenó con la nube, y el atrio se llenó con el resplandor de la gloria del Señor.

5 A nd the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of God Almighty when he speaketh.

El estruendo de las alas de los querubines se oía hasta el atrio exterior, y era semejante a la voz del Dios Omnipotente.

6 A nd it came to pass, when he commanded the man clothed in linen, saying, Take fire from between the whirling wheels, from between the cherubim, that he went in, and stood beside a wheel.

En el momento en que Dios le ordenó al que estaba vestido de lino, que tomara fuego de entre las ruedas que estaban debajo de los querubines, éste se metió al fuego y se detuvo entre las ruedas.

7 A nd the cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubim unto the fire that was between the cherubim, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed in linen, who took it and went out.

Entonces uno de los querubines extendió su mano hacia el fuego y, luego de tomar fuego de allí, lo puso en las manos del que estaba vestido de lino, y éste lo tomó y salió.

8 A nd there appeared in the cherubim the form of a man's hand under their wings.

Por debajo de las alas de los querubines podía verse la figura de una mano humana.

9 A nd I looked, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim, one wheel beside one cherub, and another wheel beside another cherub; and the appearance of the wheels was like unto a beryl stone.

Yo me fijé, y junto a los querubines vi cuatro ruedas, una junto a cada uno de los querubines. El aspecto de las ruedas era semejante al crisólito,

10 A nd as for their appearance, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel have been within a wheel.

y las cuatro tenían la misma forma, como si estuvieran la una en medio de la otra.

11 W hen they went, they went in their four directions: they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.

Cuando avanzaban, lo hacían en las cuatro direcciones, sin tener que volverse; seguían a la que iba al frente, sin tener que volverse.

12 A nd their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.

Todo su cuerpo y espaldas, lo mismo que sus manos y alas, y las cuatro ruedas estaban llenos de destellos.

13 A s for the wheels, they were called in my hearing, the whirling wheels.

Pude oír que a las ruedas se les ordenaba girar.

14 A nd every one had four faces: the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third face the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

Y los querubines tenían cuatro rostros cada uno: el primer rostro era el de un querubín; el segundo, el de un hombre; el tercero, el de un león; el cuarto, el de un águila.

15 A nd the cherubim mounted up: this is the living creature that I saw by the river Chebar.

Los querubines levantaron vuelo. Eran los mismos que yo había visto junto al río Quebar.

16 A nd when the cherubim went, the wheels went beside them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the wheels also turned not from beside them.

Cuando avanzaban, las ruedas avanzaban con ellos, y cuando levantaban sus alas para remontar el vuelo, las ruedas los seguían.

17 W hen they stood, these stood; and when they mounted up, these mounted up with them: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.

Cuando se detenían ellos, se detenían las ruedas; y cuando se elevaban, también las ruedas se elevaban. Y es que el espíritu de los seres vivientes estaba en ellas.

18 A nd the glory of Jehovah went forth from over the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubim.

La gloria del Señor se elevó por encima del umbral del templo, y fue a posarse sobre los querubines.

19 A nd the cherubim lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight when they went forth, and the wheels beside them: and they stood at the door of the east gate of Jehovah's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

En ese momento, ante mis ojos los querubines agitaron sus alas y remontaron el vuelo, y las ruedas se elevaron junto con ellos y fueron a detenerse a la entrada de la puerta oriental del templo del Señor. La gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima de ellos.

20 T his is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar; and I knew that they were cherubim.

Éstos eran los mismos seres vivientes que vi junto al río Quebar, por debajo del Dios de Israel, y me di cuenta de que eran querubines.

21 E very one had four faces, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

Cada uno de ellos tenía cuatro rostros y cuatro alas, y debajo de sus alas podían verse manos humanas.

22 A nd as for the likeness of their faces, they were the faces which I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves; they went every one straight forward.

La apariencia de sus rostros y de su cuerpo era la misma que vi junto al río Quebar, y todos ellos caminaban de frente.
