1 T he hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of Jehovah, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.

La mano del Señor vino sobre mí, y me sacó en el Espíritu del Señor, y me puso en medio del valle que estaba lleno de huesos.

2 A nd he caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

Y El me hizo pasar en derredor de ellos, y he aquí, eran muchísimos sobre la superficie del valle; y he aquí, estaban muy secos.

3 A nd he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, thou knowest.

Y El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿vivirán estos huesos? Y yo respondí: Señor Dios, tú lo sabes.

4 A gain he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah.

Entonces me dijo: Profetiza sobre estos huesos, y diles: “Huesos secos, oíd la palabra del Señor.

5 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.

“Así dice el Señor Dios a estos huesos: ‘He aquí, haré entrar en vosotros espíritu, y viviréis.

6 A nd I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

‘Y pondré tendones sobre vosotros, haré crecer carne sobre vosotros, os cubriré de piel y pondré espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.’”

7 S o I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and, behold, an earthquake; and the bones came together, bone to its bone.

Profeticé, pues, como me fue mandado; y mientras yo profetizaba hubo un ruido, y luego un estremecimiento, y los huesos se juntaron cada hueso con su hueso.

8 A nd I beheld, and, lo, there were sinews upon them, and flesh came up, and skin covered them above; but there was no breath in them.

Y miré, y he aquí, había tendones sobre ellos, creció la carne y la piel los cubrió, pero no había espíritu en ellos.

9 T hen said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

Entonces El me dijo: Profetiza al espíritu, profetiza, hijo de hombre, y di al espíritu: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Ven de los cuatro vientos, oh espíritu, y sopla sobre estos muertos, y vivirán.’”

10 S o I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Y profeticé como El me había ordenado, y el espíritu entró en ellos, y vivieron y se pusieron en pie, un enorme e inmenso ejército.

11 T hen he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.

Entonces El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos huesos son toda la casa de Israel; he aquí, ellos dicen: “Nuestros huesos se han secado, y nuestra esperanza ha perecido. Estamos completamente destruidos.”

12 T herefore prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

Por tanto, profetiza, y diles: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘He aquí, abriré vuestros sepulcros y os haré subir de vuestros sepulcros, pueblo mío, y os llevaré a la tierra de Israel.

13 A nd ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I have opened your graves, and caused you to come up out of your graves, O my people.

‘Y sabréis que yo soy el Señor, cuando abra vuestros sepulcros y os haga subir de vuestros sepulcros, pueblo mío.

14 A nd I will put my Spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I will place you in your own land: and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, have spoken it and performed it, saith Jehovah.

‘Pondré mi Espíritu en vosotros, y viviréis, y os pondré en vuestra tierra. Entonces sabréis que yo, el Señor, he hablado y lo he hecho’ —declara el Señor.”

15 T he word of Jehovah came again unto me, saying,

Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

16 A nd thou, son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

Y tú, hijo de hombre, toma una vara y escribe en ella: “Para Judá y para los hijos de Israel, sus compañeros.” Toma luego otra vara y escribe en ella: “Para José, vara de Efraín, y para toda la casa de Israel, sus compañeros.”

17 a nd join them for thee one to another into one stick, that they may become one in thy hand.

Júntalas la una con la otra en una sola vara para que sean una sola en tu mano.

18 A nd when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou meanest by these?

Y cuando los hijos de tu pueblo te hablen, diciendo: “¿No nos explicarás qué quieres decir con esto ?”,

19 s ay unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions; and I will put them with it, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.

diles: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘He aquí, tomaré la vara de José, que está en la mano de Efraín, y las tribus de Israel, sus compañeros; las pondré con aquélla, con la vara de Judá, y las haré una sola vara, y serán una en mi mano.’”

20 A nd the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes.

Y las varas en que escribas estarán en tu mano a la vista de ellos,

21 A nd say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

y diles: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘He aquí, tomaré a los hijos de Israel de entre las naciones adonde han ido, los recogeré de todas partes y los traeré a su propia tierra.

22 a nd I will make them one nation in the land, upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all; and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all;

‘Y haré de ellos una nación en la tierra, en los montes de Israel; un solo rey será rey de todos ellos; nunca más serán dos naciones, y nunca más serán divididos en dos reinos.

23 n either shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

‘No se contaminarán más con sus ídolos, ni con sus abominaciones, ni con ninguna de sus transgresiones; sino que los libraré de todos los lugares en que pecaron y los limpiaré. Y ellos serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios.

24 A nd my servant David shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in mine ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.

‘Mi siervo David será rey sobre ellos, y todos ellos tendrán un solo pastor; andarán en mis ordenanzas y guardarán mis estatutos y los cumplirán.

25 A nd they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.

‘Y habitarán en la tierra que di a mi siervo Jacob, en la cual habitaron vuestros padres; en ella habitarán ellos y sus hijos, y los hijos de sus hijos para siempre; y mi siervo David será su príncipe para siempre.

26 M oreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

‘Y haré con ellos un pacto de paz; será un pacto eterno con ellos. Y los estableceré, los multiplicaré y pondré mi santuario en medio de ellos para siempre.

27 M y tabernacle also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

‘Mi morada estará también junto a ellos, y yo seré su Dios y ellos serán mi pueblo.

28 A nd the nations shall know that I am Jehovah that sanctifieth Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

‘Y las naciones sabrán que yo, el Señor, santifico a Israel, cuando mi santuario esté en medio de ellos para siempre.’”
