1 Y ea, at this my heart trembleth, And is moved out of its place.

Ante esto también tiembla mi corazón, y salta de su lugar.

2 H ear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, And the sound that goeth out of his mouth.

Escuchad atentamente el estruendo de su voz, y el rugido que sale de su boca.

3 H e sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, And his lightening unto the ends of the earth.

Bajo todos los cielos lo suelta, y su relámpago hasta los confines de la tierra.

4 A fter it a voice roareth; He thundereth with the voice of his majesty; And he restraineth not the lightnings when his voice is heard.

Tras él, ruge una voz; truena El con su majestuosa voz, y no retiene los relámpagos mientras se oye su voz.

5 G od thundereth marvellously with his voice; Great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Maravillosamente truena Dios con su voz, haciendo grandes cosas que no comprendemos.

6 F or he saith to the snow, Fall thou on the earth; Likewise to the shower of rain, And to the showers of his mighty rain.

Porque a la nieve dice: “Cae sobre la tierra”, y al aguacero y a la lluvia: “Sed fuertes.”

7 H e sealeth up the hand of every man, That all men whom he hath made may know it.

El sella la mano de todo hombre, para que todos conozcan su obra.

8 T hen the beasts go into coverts, And remain in their dens.

La fiera entra en su guarida, y permanece en su madriguera.

9 O ut of the chamber of the south cometh the storm, And cold out of the north.

Del sur viene el torbellino, y del norte el frío.

10 B y the breath of God ice is given; And the breadth of the waters is straitened.

Del soplo de Dios se forma el hielo, y se congela la extensión de las aguas.

11 Y ea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture; He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:

También El carga de humedad la densa nube, y esparce la nube con su relámpago;

12 A nd it is turned round about by his guidance, That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them Upon the face of the habitable world,

aquélla gira y da vueltas por su sabia dirección, para hacer todo lo que El le ordena sobre la faz de toda la tierra.

13 W hether it be for correction, or for his land, Or for lovingkindness, that he cause it to come.

Ya sea por corrección, o por el mundo suyo, o por misericordia, El hace que suceda.

14 H earken unto this, O Job: Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

Escucha esto, Job, detente y considera las maravillas de Dios.

15 D ost thou know how God layeth his charge upon them, And causeth the lightning of his cloud to shine?

¿Sabes tú cómo Dios las establece, y hace resplandecer el relámpago de su nube?

16 D ost thou know the balancings of the clouds, The wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?

¿Sabes tú la posición de las densas nubes, maravillas del perfecto en conocimiento,

17 H ow thy garments are warm, When the earth is still by reason of the south wind?

tú, cuyos vestidos están calientes cuando la tierra está en calma a causa del viento del sur?

18 C anst thou with him spread out the sky, Which is strong as a molten mirror?

¿Puedes con El extender el firmamento, fuerte como espejo de metal fundido?

19 T each us what we shall say unto him; For we cannot set our speech in order by reason of darkness.

Enséñanos qué le hemos de decir a Dios; no podemos ordenar nuestro argumento a causa de las tinieblas.

20 S hall it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?

¿Habrá que contarle que yo quiero hablar? ¿O debe un hombre decir que quiere ser tragado ?

21 A nd now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; But the wind passeth, and cleareth them.

Ahora los hombres no ven la luz que brilla en el firmamento; pero pasa el viento y lo despeja.

22 O ut of the north cometh golden splendor: God hath upon him terrible majesty.

Del norte viene dorado esplendor: majestad impresionante alrededor de Dios.

23 T ouching the Almighty, we cannot find him out He is excellent in power; And in justice and plenteous righteousness he will not afflict.

Es el Todopoderoso; no le podemos alcanzar; El es grande en poder, y no pervertirá el juicio ni la abundante justicia.

24 M en do therefore fear him: He regardeth not any that are wise of heart.

Por eso le temen los hombres; El no estima a ninguno que se cree sabio de corazón.
