1 A nd Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

Y el Señor habló a Moisés, diciendo:

2 M oreover, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

Dirás también a los hijos de Israel: “Cualquier hombre de los hijos de Israel, o de los extranjeros que residen en Israel, que dé alguno de sus hijos a Moloc, ciertamente se le dará muerte; el pueblo de la tierra lo matará a pedradas.

3 I also will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

“Yo pondré mi rostro contra ese hombre y lo cortaré de entre su pueblo, porque ha dado de sus hijos a Moloc, contaminando así mi santuario y profanando mi santo nombre.

4 A nd if the people at the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and put him not to death;

“Pero si el pueblo de la tierra cierra sus ojos con respecto a ese hombre, cuando él ofrezca alguno de sus hijos a Moloc, para no darle muerte,

5 t hen I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that play the harlot after him, to play the harlot with Molech, from among their people.

entonces yo mismo pondré mi rostro contra ese hombre y contra su familia; y lo cortaré de entre su pueblo, a él y a todos los que con él se prostituyan, fornicando en pos de Moloc.

6 A nd the soul that turneth unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to play the harlot after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“En cuanto a la persona que vaya a los médium o a los espiritistas, para prostituirse en pos de ellos, también pondré mi rostro contra esa persona y la cortaré de entre su pueblo.

7 S anctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am Jehovah your God.

“Santificaos, pues, y sed santos, porque yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios.

8 A nd ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.

“Guardad mis estatutos y cumplidlos. Yo soy el Señor que os santifico.

9 F or every one that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

“Todo aquel que maldiga a su padre o a su madre, ciertamente se le dará muerte; ha maldecido a su padre o a su madre, su culpa de sangre sea sobre él.

10 A nd the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

“Si un hombre comete adulterio con la mujer de otro hombre, (que cometa adulterio con la mujer de su prójimo ), el adúltero y la adúltera ciertamente han de morir.

11 A nd the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

“Si alguno se acuesta con la mujer de su padre, ha descubierto la desnudez de su padre; ciertamente han de morir los dos; su culpa de sangre sea sobre ellos.

12 A nd if a man lie with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.

“Si alguno se acuesta con su nuera, ciertamente han de morir los dos, han cometido grave perversión; su culpa de sangre sea sobre ellos.

13 A nd if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

“Si alguno se acuesta con varón como los que se acuestan con mujer, los dos han cometido abominación; ciertamente han de morir. Su culpa de sangre sea sobre ellos.

14 A nd if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

“Si alguno toma a una mujer y a la madre de ella, es una inmoralidad; él y ellas serán quemados para que no haya inmoralidad entre vosotros.

15 A nd if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

“Si alguno se ayunta con un animal, ciertamente se le dará muerte; también mataréis al animal.

16 A nd if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

“Si alguna mujer se llega a un animal para ayuntarse con él, matarás a la mujer y al animal; ciertamente han de morir. Su culpa de sangre sea sobre ellos.

17 A nd if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

“Si alguno toma a su hermana, hija de su padre o hija de su madre, viendo la desnudez de ella, y ella ve la desnudez de él, es cosa abominable; serán exterminados a la vista de los hijos de su pueblo. El ha descubierto la desnudez de su hermana, lleva su culpa.

18 A nd if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath made naked her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

“Si alguno se acuesta con mujer menstruosa y descubre su desnudez, ha descubierto su flujo, y ella ha puesto al descubierto el flujo de su sangre; por tanto, ambos serán cortados de entre su pueblo.

19 A nd thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister; for he hath made naked his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.

“No descubrirás tampoco la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre, ni la de la hermana de tu padre, porque el que lo haga ha desnudado a su pariente carnal, ellos llevarán su culpa.

20 A nd if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

“Si alguno se acuesta con la mujer de su tío, ha descubierto la desnudez de su tío; ellos llevarán su pecado. Sin hijos morirán.

21 A nd if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is impurity: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

“Si alguno toma a la mujer de su hermano, es cosa aborrecible; ha descubierto la desnudez de su hermano. Serán sin hijos.

22 Y e shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all mine ordinances, and do them; that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, vomit you not out.

“Guardad, por tanto, todos mis estatutos y todas mis ordenanzas, y cumplidlos, a fin de que no os vomite la tierra a la cual os llevo para morar en ella.

23 A nd ye shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

“Además, no andéis en las costumbres de la nación que yo echaré de delante de vosotros; porque ellos hicieron todas estas cosas, yo los aborrecí.

24 B ut I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey: I am Jehovah your God, who hath separated you from the peoples.

“Por eso os he dicho: ‘Vosotros poseeréis su tierra, y yo mismo os la daré para que la poseáis, una tierra que mana leche y miel.’ Yo soy el Señor vuestro Dios, que os he apartado de los pueblos.

25 Y e shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by bird, or by anything wherewith the ground teemeth, which I have separated from you as unclean.

“Vosotros haréis una distinción entre el animal limpio y el inmundo, entre el ave limpia y la inmunda; no hagáis, pues, vuestras almas abominables por causa de animal o de ave o de cosa alguna que se arrastra sobre la tierra, los cuales yo he apartado de vosotros por inmundos.

26 A nd ye shall be holy unto me: for I, Jehovah, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that ye should be mine.

“Me seréis, pues, santos, porque yo, el Señor, soy santo, y os he apartado de los pueblos para que seáis míos.

27 A man also or a woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.

“Si hay médium o espiritista entre ellos, hombre o mujer, ciertamente han de morir; serán apedreados; su culpa de sangre sea sobre ellos.”
