7 T us mejillas son dos gajos de granada que se asoman tras el velo.

Your temples are like a piece of a pomegranate behind your veil.

8 P uede haber sesenta reinas, y hasta ochenta concubinas y un sin número de doncellas,

There are sixty queens, eighty concubines, and virgins without number.

9 p ero la paloma que poseo es única y perfecta. Es la hija única y predilecta de la madre que la vio nacer. Las doncellas la ven, y la bendicen; ¡las reinas y las concubinas la alaban!

My dove, my perfect one, is unique. She is her mother’s only daughter. She is the favorite one of her who bore her. The daughters saw her, and called her blessed; the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.

11 Y o bajé al jardín de los nogales, para contemplar los frutos del valle y ver si ya brotaban las vides y florecían los granados;
