1 M oisés subió desde los campos de Moab hasta el monte Nebo, hasta la cumbre del Pisga, que está enfrente de Jericó, y allí el Señor le mostró toda la tierra, desde Galaad hasta Dan,

Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan,

2 y todo Neftalí, y también la tierra de Efraín y de Manasés, es decir, toda la tierra de Judá hasta el mar occidental,

and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the western sea,

3 e l Néguev y la llanura, el llano de Jericó y la ciudad de las palmeras, hasta Soar.

and the south, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar.

4 A llí el Señor le dijo: «Ésta es la tierra que juré dar a los descendientes de Abrahán, Isaac y Jacob. Te he permitido verla con tus propios ojos, pero no entrarás en ella.»

Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your offspring. ’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

5 A llí, en la tierra de Moab, murió Moisés, el siervo del Señor, conforme a lo que el Señor había dicho,

So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word.

6 y allí mismo lo enterró, en el valle, en la tierra de Moab, frente a Bet Pegor, y hasta el día de hoy nadie conoce el lugar donde fue sepultado.

He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day.

7 C uando Moisés murió, tenía ciento veinte años de edad; pero sus ojos nunca se le nublaron, ni perdió su vigor.

Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone.

8 L os hijos de Israel lloraron a Moisés en los campos de Moab durante treinta días. Así se cumplieron los días de llanto y de luto por la muerte de Moisés.

The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended.

9 C omo Moisés puso sus manos sobre Josué hijo de Nun, éste fue lleno de espíritu de sabiduría, y los hijos de Israel le obedecieron e hicieron lo que el Señor le había ordenado a Moisés.

Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses.

10 N unca más surgió en Israel un profeta que, como Moisés, hubiera conocido al Señor cara a cara.

Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face,

11 N adie le igualó en todas las señales y prodigios que el Señor le mandó hacer en Egipto, contra el faraón y contra todos sus siervos y su país,

in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

12 n i en el gran poder y en los hechos grandiosos y terribles que hizo a la vista de todo Israel.

and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.
