13 L a vigilancia de cada puerta se decidió por sorteo, según sus casas paternas y sin distinguir entre pequeños y grandes.

14 L a puerta del oriente le tocó por suerte a Selemías. Luego se sorteó la puerta del norte, y ésta le tocó a su hijo Zacarías, que era un consejero muy inteligente.

The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

24 e l jefe sobre los tesoros era Sebuel hijo de Gersón, hijo de Moisés.

and Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasures.

25 E n cuanto a su hermano Eliezer, su hijo era Rejabías, y sus descendientes en línea directa era Jesaías, Jorán, Zicri y Selomit.

His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.

26 T anto Selomit como sus hermanos estaban a cargo de todos los tesoros y de todos los objetos santificados que habían consagrado el rey David, los jefes de las casas paternas, los capitanes de millares y de centenas, y los jefes del ejército.

This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.

31 J erías era el jefe de los hebronitas, repartidos por sus linajes y por sus familias. Fueron registrados en el año cuarenta del reinado de David, y se encontró que entre ellos había hombres fuertes y aguerridos en Jazer de Galaad.

Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. They were sought for in the fortieth year of the reign of David, and mighty men of valor were found among them at Jazer of Gilead.

32 S us parientes, también hombres valientes, eran dos mil setecientos jefes de familia. El rey David los puso al mando de los rubenitas y gaditas, y de la media tribu de Manasés, para todo lo relacionado con Dios y con el rey.

His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
