1 E l Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

2 « Mira, yo he llamado por su nombre a Besalel hijo de Uri, hijo de Jur, de la tribu de Judá.

“Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

3 L o he llenado del espíritu de Dios en sabiduría, inteligencia y ciencia, y en todo arte,

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship,

4 p ara crear nuevos diseños y trabajar en oro, plata y bronce,

to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

5 y en el arte de engastar piedras preciosas y de trabajar la madera, y de realizar toda clase de trabajos.

and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of workmanship.

6 C omo podrás ver, he designado también a Aholiab hijo de Ajisamac, de la tribu de Dan, y a todos los de corazón sabio les he dado la capacidad de hacer todo lo que te he mandado:

Behold, I myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

7 e l tabernáculo de reunión, el arca del testimonio, el propiciatorio que va sobre ella, todos los utensilios del tabernáculo,

the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on it, all the furniture of the Tent,

8 l a mesa y sus utensilios, el candelero de oro puro y todos sus utensilios, el altar del incienso,

the table and its vessels, the pure lamp stand with all its vessels, the altar of incense,

9 e l altar del holocausto y todos sus utensilios, la fuente y su base,

the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, the basin and its base,

10 l as vestiduras del servicio, las vestiduras santas para Aarón el sacerdote, las vestiduras de sus hijos para que ejerzan el sacerdocio,

the finely worked garments—the holy garments for Aaron the priest—the garments of his sons to minister in the priest’s office,

11 e l aceite de la unción, y el incienso aromático para el santuario. Deberán hacerlo todo según lo que te he ordenado.» El día de reposo como señal

the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you they shall do.”

12 A demás, el Señor habló con Moisés, y le dijo:

Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

13 « Tú hablarás con los hijos de Israel, y les dirás: “Ustedes deberán respetar mis días de reposo, porque es una señal entre ustedes y yo por todas las generaciones, para que sepan que yo soy el Señor, que los santifico.

“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.

14 A sí que respetarán el día de reposo, porque es para ustedes un día santo. El que lo profane, será condenado a muerte. Sí, cualquiera que haga algún trabajo en ese día, será expulsado de su pueblo.”

You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

15 S eis días se trabajará, pero el día séptimo es día de reposo consagrado a mí; cualquiera que trabaje en el día de reposo, será condenado a muerte.

Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Yahweh. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

16 A sí que los hijos de Israel respetarán el día de reposo y lo celebrarán por todas las generaciones como un pacto perpetuo.

Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 S erá una señal para siempre entre los hijos de Israel y yo, porque yo, el Señor, hice en seis días los cielos y la tierra, y el séptimo día reposé.» El becerro de oro

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.’”

18 C uando Dios terminó de hablar con Moisés en el monte Sinaí, le dio las dos tablas del testimonio, tablas de piedra escritas por el dedo mismo de Dios.

He gave to Moses, when he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with God’s finger.
