1 H ear this word that the Lord hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

Слушайте това слово, което Господ изговори против вас, израилтяни, - против целия род, <рече> <Господ>, който възведох от Египетската земя, като казах:

2 Y ou only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Само вас познах Измежду всичките родове на света; Затова ще ви накажа за всичките ви беззакония.

3 C an two walk together, except they be agreed?

Ще ходят ли двама заедно, Ако не се съгласят?

4 W ill a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

Ще изреве ли лъвът в леса Ако няма лов? Ще издаде ли гласа си младият лъв от леговището си Ако не е хванал нещо?

5 C an a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

Може ли птица да попадне в клопка на земята Дето няма примка за нея? Скача ли примка от земята Без да е хванала нещо?

6 S hall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

Може ли да засвири тръба в град И людете да не се уплашат? Може ли бедствие да сполети град И да не го е направил Господ?

7 S urely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Наистина Господ Иеова няма да направи нищо Без да открие Своето намерение на слугите Си пророците.

8 T he lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Лъвът изрева; кой не ще се уплаши? Господ Иеова изговори; кой не ще пророкува?

9 P ublish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

Прогласете в палатите на Азот И в планините на Египетската земя, И речете: Съберете се по планините на Самария Та вижте големите метежи всред нея, И какви насилия има вътре в нея.

10 F or they know not to do right, saith the Lord, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

Защото казва Господ: Ония, които натрупват в палатите си плода на насилие и грабеж, Не знаят да вършат правото.

11 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

Затова, така казва Господ, Иеова: Неприятел ще окръжава земята <ти>, И ще смъкне от тебе силата ти, И палатите ти ще бъдат разграбени.

12 T hus saith the Lord; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

Така казва Господ: Както овчарят изтръгва из лъвовите уста Две колена, или част от ухо, Така ще изтръгнат израилтяните, Които в Самария седят в ъгъла на постелка И на копринени възглавници на легло.

13 H ear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord God, the God of hosts,

Слушайте и предупредете Якововия дом, Казва Господ Иеова, Бог на Силите,

14 T hat in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

Че в деня, когато нанеса наказание върху Израиля за престъплението му, Ще накажа и жертвениците на Ветил, И роговете на жертвеника ще се отсекат и ще паднат на земята.

15 A nd I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the Lord.

Още ще поразя зимната къща заедно с лятната къща, Къщите от слонова кост ще се съсипят, И на големите къщи ще се тури край, казва Господ.
