1 B ueno es alabarte, oh Jehová, Y cantar salmos a tu nombre, oh Altísimo;

It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, to sing praises to your name, Most High;

2 A nunciar por la mañana tu misericordia, Y tu fidelidad cada noche,

to proclaim your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,

3 A l son del decacordio y del salterio, En tono suave con el arpa.

with the ten-stringed lute, with the harp, and with the melody of the lyre.

4 P or cuanto me has alegrado, oh Jehová, con tus obras; En las obras de tus manos me gozo.

For you, Yahweh, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.

5 ¡ Cuán grandes son tus obras, oh Jehová! Muy profundos son tus designios.

How great are your works, Yahweh! Your thoughts are very deep.

6 E l hombre necio no los entiende, Y el insensato no los comprende.

A senseless man doesn’t know, neither does a fool understand this:

7 Q ue si brotan los impíos como la hierba, Y florecen todos los que hacen iniquidad, Es para ser destruidos eternamente.

though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever.

8 M as tú, Jehová, para siempre eres Altísimo.

But you, Yahweh, are on high forever more.

9 P orque he aquí tus enemigos, oh Jehová, Porque he aquí, perecerán tus enemigos; Serán dispersados todos los que hacen maldad.

For, behold, your enemies, Yahweh, for, behold, your enemies shall perish. All the evildoers will be scattered.

10 P ero tú aumentarás mis fuerzas como las del búfalo; Seré ungido con aceite fresco.

But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox. I am anointed with fresh oil.

11 Y miraré con desprecio sobre mis enemigos; Oirán mis oídos acerca de los que se levantaron contra mí, de los malignos.

My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.

12 E l justo florecerá como la palmera; Crecerá como el cedro en el Líbano.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

13 P lantados en la casa de Jehová, En los atrios de nuestro Dios florecerán.

They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts.

14 A un en la vejez fructificarán; Estarán vigorosos y lozanos,

They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green,

15 P ara anunciar que Jehová es recto, Es mi roca, y en él no hay injusticia.

to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
