1 V i un cielo nuevo y una tierra nueva; porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra desaparecieron, y el mar ya no existe más.

I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.

2 Y yo, Juan, vi la santa ciudad, la nueva Jerusalén, descender del cielo, de junto a Dios, dispuesta como una novia ataviada para su esposo.

I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

3 Y oí una gran voz procedente del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y él morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y Dios mismo estará con ellos como su Dios.

I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

4 E njugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor; porque las primeras cosas pasaron.

He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”

5 Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas. Y me dijo: Escribe; porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas.

He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”

6 Y me dijo: Hecho está. Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tenga sed, yo le daré gratuitamente de la fuente del agua de la vida.

He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.

7 E l que venza heredará todas las cosas, y yo seré su Dios, y él será mi hijo.

He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.

8 P ero los cobardes e incrédulos, los abominables y homicidas, los fornicarios y hechiceros, los idólatras y todos los mentirosos tendrán su parte en el lago que arde con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda. La nueva Jerusalén

But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

9 V ino entonces a mí uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las últimas siete plagas, y habló conmigo, diciendo: Ven acá; yo te mostraré la novia, la esposa del Cordero.

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the wife, the Lamb’s bride.”

10 Y me llevó en espíritu a un monte grande y alto, y me mostró la gran ciudad santa de Jerusalén, que descendía del cielo, de junto a Dios,

He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

11 t eniendo la gloria de Dios. Y su fulgor era semejante al de una piedra preciosísima, como piedra de jaspe, diáfana como el cristal.

having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, as if it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

12 T enía un muro grande y alto con doce puertas; y en las puertas, doce ángeles, y nombres inscritos, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel;

having a great and high wall; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

13 a l oriente, tres puertas; al norte, tres puertas; al sur, tres puertas; al occidente, tres puertas.

On the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14 Y el muro de la ciudad tenía doce fundamentos, y sobre ellos los doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.

The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.

15 E l que hablaba conmigo tenía una caña de medir, de oro, para medir la ciudad, sus puertas y su muro.

He who spoke with me had for a measure, a golden reed, to measure the city, its gates, and its walls.

16 L a ciudad se halla establecida en cuadro, y su longitud es igual a su anchura; y él midió la ciudad con la caña, doce mil estadios; la longitud, la altura y la anchura de ella son iguales.

The city is square, and its length is as great as its width. He measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand twelve stadia. Its length, width, and height are equal.

17 Y midió su muro, ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, de medida de hombre, la cual es de ángel.

Its wall is one hundred forty-four cubits, by the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

18 E l material de su muro era de jaspe; pero la ciudad era de oro puro, semejante al cristal puro;

The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass.

19 y los cimientos del muro de la ciudad estaban adornados con toda clase de piedras preciosas. El primer cimiento era jaspe; el segundo, zafiro; el tercero, ágata; el cuarto, esmeralda;

The foundations of the city’s wall were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

20 e l quinto, sardónica; el sexto, cornalina; el séptimo, crisólito; el octavo, berilo; el noveno, topacio; el décimo, crisopraso; el undécimo, jacinto; el duodécimo, amatista.

the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; and the twelfth, amethyst.

21 Y las doce puertas eran doce perlas; cada una de las puertas era una perla. Y la calle de la ciudad era de oro puro, como cristal transparente.

The twelve gates were twelve pearls. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

22 Y no vi en ella santuario; porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso es el santuario de ella, y el Cordero.

I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.

23 L a ciudad no tiene necesidad de sol ni de luna que brillen en ella; porque la gloria de Dios la ilumina, y el Cordero es su lumbrera.

The city has no need for the sun, neither of the moon, to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

24 Y las naciones que hubieren sido salvas andarán a la luz de ella; y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria y honor a ella.

The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.

25 S us puertas nunca serán cerradas de día, pues allí no habrá noche.

Its gates will in no way be shut by day (for there will be no night there),

26 Y llevarán la gloria y el honor de las naciones a ella.

and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it so that they may enter.

27 N o entrará en ella ninguna cosa inmunda, o que hace abominación y mentira, sino solamente los que están inscritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero.

There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
