1 P ablo, apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos y fieles en Cristo Jesús que están en Éfeso:

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 G racia y paz a vosotros, de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Bendiciones espirituales en Cristo

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 B endito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;

4 s egún nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él en amor,

even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love;

5 h abiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados como hijos suyos por medio de Jesucristo, conforme al beneplácito de su voluntad,

having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,

6 p ara alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, de la que nos ha colmado en el Amado,

to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved,

7 e n quien tenemos redención por medio de su sangre, el perdón de pecados según las riquezas de su gracia,

in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

8 q ue hizo sobreabundar para con nosotros en toda sabiduría e inteligencia,

which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

9 d ándonos a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito, el cual se había propuesto en sí mismo,

making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

10 c on miras a restaurar todas las cosas en Cristo en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, tanto las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra,

to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him;

11 e n unión con él, en quien también hemos tenido suerte, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que efectúa todas las cosas según el designio de su voluntad,

in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will;

12 a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros los que ya antes esperábamos en Cristo.

to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

13 E n él también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salvación, y habiendo creído, fuisteis sellados también en él con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,

in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

14 e l cual es las arras de nuestra herencia con miras a la redención de la posesión adquirida, para alabanza de su gloria. Pablo ora por los efesios

who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.

15 P or esta causa también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y de vuestro amor para con todos los santos,

For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints,

16 n o ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones,

don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,

17 p ara que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento pleno de él,

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

18 a lumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza a que él os ha llamado, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,

having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 y cuál la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, conforme a la eficacia de su fuerza,

and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

20 l a cual ejercitó en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos y sentándole a su diestra en los lugares celestiales,

which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,

21 p or encima de todo principado, autoridad, poder y señorío, y de todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, sino también en el venidero;

far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.

22 y sometió todas las cosas bajo sus pies, y lo dio por cabeza sobre todas las cosas a la iglesia,

He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly,

23 l a cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que todo lo llena en todo.

which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
