1 ( По слав. 103) Благославяй, душе моя, Господа. Господи Боже мой, Ти си твърде велик С блясък и величие си облечен, -

Praise the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great. You are dressed with great honor and wonderful power.

2 Т и, Който се обличаш със светлина като с дреха, И простираш небето като завеса;

He covers Himself with light as with a coat. He spreads out the heavens like a tent.

3 К ойто устрояваш високите Си обиталища над водите, Правиш облаците Своя колесница И вървиш с крилата на вятъра;

He makes His home on the waters. He makes the clouds His wagon. He rides on the wings of the wind.

4 К ойто правиш ангелите Си <силни като> ветровете. И слугите Си <като> огнения пламък;

He makes the winds carry His news. He makes His helpers a burning fire.

5 К ойто си положил земята на основата й, За да се не поклати за вечни времена.

He set the earth in its place so that it will stay that way forever.

6 П окрил си я с морето {Еврейски: Бездната.} като с дреха; Водите застанаха над планините.

You covered it with the sea as with a coat. The waters stood above the mountains.

7 О т Твоето смъмряне те побягнаха, От гласа на гърма Ти се спуснаха на бяг.

The waters left at Your strong words. They went away in a hurry at the sound of Your thunder.

8 И здигнаха се планините, снишаваха се долините. На мястото, което беше определил за тях.

The mountains went up and the valleys went down to the place that You made for them.

9 П оложил си предел <на водите>, за да не могат да преминат, Нито да се върнат пак да покрият земята.

You set a place that they may not pass over. The waters will never cover the earth again.

10 & lt;Ти си>, Който изпращаш извори в доловете За да текат между планините.

He sends rivers into the valleys. They flow between the mountains.

11 Н апояват всичките полски зверове; С <тях> дивите осли утоляват жаждата си;

They give water to all the animals of the field. The wild donkeys drink until they are no longer thirsty.

12 П ри тях небесните птици обитават И пеят между клончетата.

The birds of the sky nest beside them. They sing among the branches.

13 & lt;Ти си>, Който поиш планините от високите Си обиталища, <Тъй щото> от плода на Твоите дела се насища земята;

He waters the mountains from His home above. The earth is filled with the fruit of His works.

14 П равиш да никне трева за добитъка, И зеленчук за потреба на човека, За да изважда храна от земята,

He makes the grass grow for the cattle, and plants for man to use. So He may bring food from the earth,

15 И вино, което весели сърцето на човека, И прави да лъщи лицето му повече от дървено масло, И хляб, който уякчава сърцето на човека.

wine that makes man’s heart glad, oil to make his face shine, and food to make his heart strong.

16 В еликолепните {Еврейски: Господните.} дървета се наситиха, Ливанските кедри, които Господ е насадил,

The tall cedar trees that the Lord planted in Lebanon drink their fill.

17 Г дето птиците си свиват гнезда, И елхите са жилище на щърка;

The birds make their nests there. The stork has its nest in the green trees.

18 В исоките планини са на дивите кози, Канарите са прибежище на дивите зайци.

The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a safe place for the badgers.

19 Т ой е определил луната, за <да показва> времената; Слънцето знае <кога> да залязва.

He made the moon to mark the time of year. And the sun knows when to go down.

20 С пущаш тъмнина, и настава нощ, Когато всичките горски зверове се разхождат.

You make darkness and it becomes night. Then all the wild animals among the trees come out.

21 Л ъвчетата реват за лов, И търсят от Бога храна.

The young lions make a loud noise as they go after meat. And they get their food from God.

22 И згрее ли слънцето, те си отиват И лягат в рововете си.

They go to their homes and lie down when the sun rises.

23 Ч овек излиза на работата си И на труда си до вечерта.

Then man goes out to his work and works until evening.

24 К олко са многовидни Твоите дела, Господи! С мъдрост си направил всичките; Земята е пълна с Твоите творения.

O Lord, how many are Your works! You made them all in wisdom. The earth is full of what You have made.

25 Е то голямото и пространно море, Гдето има безбройни пълзящи <животни>, Животни малки и големи.

There is the wide sea full of both large and small animals. There are too many for us to number.

26 Т ам плуват корабите; <Там е и> чудовището {Еврейски: Левиатан. Иов 41: 1.}, което си създал да играе в него.

The ships sail there. And the very large sea animal You have made plays in it.

27 В сички тия от Тебе очакват Да им дадеш на време храната.

They all wait for You to give them their food at the right time.

28 К аквото им даваш те го събират; Отваряш ръката Си, <и> те се насищат с блага,

You give it to them and they gather it up. You open Your hand and they are filled with good things.

29 С криеш ли лицето Си, те се смущават; Прибираш ли лъха им, те умират И връщат се в пръстта си.

They are troubled and afraid when You hide Your face. And when You take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.

30 И зпращаш ли Духа Си, те се създават; И подновяваш лицето на земята.

They are made when You send Your Spirit. And You make the land of the earth new again.

31 Н ека трае до века славата Господна; Нека се радва в делата Си Господ,

May the shining-greatness of the Lord last forever. May the Lord be glad in His works.

32 К ойто, кога гледа на земята, тя трепери, Кога се допира до планините, те димят.

He looks at the earth and it shakes with fear. He touches the mountains and they smoke.

33 Щ е пея Господу докато съм жив; Ще славословя моя Бог докле съществувам.

I will sing to the Lord all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.

34 Д а Му бъде приятно моето размишление; Аз ще се веселя в Господа.

May the words of my heart be pleasing to Him. As for me, I will be glad in the Lord.

35 Н ека се довършат грешните от земята, И нечестивите да ги няма вече. Благославяй, душе моя, Господа. Алилуия.

Let sinners be destroyed from the earth. And let the sinful be no more. Honor the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord!
