1 Y ahweh said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”

El Señor respondió a Moisés: “Ahora verás lo que haré a Faraón. Porque por la fuerza los dejará ir, y por la fuerza (por mano fuerte) los echará de su tierra.”

2 G od spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am Yahweh;

Dios continuó hablando a Moisés, y le dijo: “Yo soy el Señor.

3 a nd I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them.

Yo me aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob como Dios Todopoderoso (El Shaddai), pero por Mi nombre, Señor, no me di a conocer a ellos.

4 I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.

También establecí Mi pacto con ellos, de darles la tierra de Canaán, la tierra donde peregrinaron.

5 M oreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.

Además, he oído el gemido de los Israelitas, porque los Egipcios los tienen esclavizados, y me he acordado de Mi pacto.

6 T herefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:

Por tanto, dile a los Israelitas: ‘Yo soy el Señor, y los sacaré de debajo de las cargas de los Egipcios. Los libraré de su esclavitud, y los redimiré con brazo extendido y con grandes juicios.

7 a nd I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Los tomaré a ustedes por pueblo Mío, y Yo seré su Dios. Sabrán que Yo soy el Señor su Dios, que los sacó de debajo de las cargas de los Egipcios.

8 I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.’”

Los traeré a la tierra que juré dar a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, y se la daré a ustedes por heredad. Yo soy el Señor.’”

9 M oses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

De esta manera Moisés habló a los Israelitas, pero ellos no escucharon a Moisés a causa del desaliento y de la dura servidumbre.

10 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

Entonces el Señor habló a Moisés y le dijo:

11 “ Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.”

“Ve, habla a Faraón, rey de Egipto, para que deje salir a los Israelitas de su tierra.”

12 M oses spoke before Yahweh, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?”

Pero Moisés habló delante del Señor y le dijo: “Los Israelitas no me han escuchado. ¿Cómo, pues, me escuchará Faraón, siendo yo torpe de palabra ?”

13 Y ahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

Entonces el Señor habló a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dio órdenes para los Israelitas y para Faraón, rey de Egipto, a fin de sacar a los Israelitas de la tierra de Egipto. Jefes de Familia

14 T hese are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.

Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas: Los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi. Estas son las familias de Rubén.

15 T he sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.

Los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar y Saúl, hijo de una Cananea. Estas son las familias de Simeón.

16 T hese are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years.

Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Leví según sus generaciones: Gersón, Coat y Merari. Los años de la vida de Leví fueron 137 años.

17 T he sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.

18 T he sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years.

19 T he sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.

20 A mram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were a hundred and thirty-seven years.

Amram tomó por mujer a Jocabed, su tía, y ella dio a luz a Aarón y a Moisés. Los años de la vida de Amram fueron 137 años.

21 T he sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.

22 T he sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri.

23 A aron took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Y Aarón tomó por mujer a Eliseba, hija de Aminadab, hermana de Naasón, y ella dio a luz a Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

24 T he sons of Korah: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.

Los hijos de Coré: Asir, Elcana y Abiasaf. Estas son las familias de los Coreítas.

25 E leazar Aaron’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.

Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, tomó por mujer a una de las hijas de Futiel, y ella dio a luz a Finees. Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas de los Levitas, según sus familias.

26 T hese are that Aaron and Moses, to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”

Aarón y Moisés son a los que el Señor dijo: “Saquen a los Israelitas de la tierra de Egipto por sus ejércitos.”

27 T hese are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.

28 O n the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,

El día que el Señor habló a Moisés en la tierra de Egipto,

29 Y ahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “I am Yahweh. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you.”

el Señor dijo a Moisés: “Yo soy el Señor. Dile a Faraón, rey de Egipto, todo lo que Yo te diga.”

30 M oses said before Yahweh, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”

Pero Moisés dijo delante del Señor: “Yo soy torpe de palabra. ¿Cómo, pues, me escuchará Faraón ?”
