1 “ Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.

“No se turbe su corazón; crean en Dios, crean también en Mí.

2 I n my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.

En la casa de Mi Padre hay muchas moradas; si no fuera así, se lo hubiera dicho; porque voy a preparar un lugar para ustedes.

3 I f I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.

Y si me voy y les preparo un lugar, vendré otra vez y los tomaré adonde Yo voy; para que donde Yo esté, allí estén ustedes también.

4 W here I go, you know, and you know the way.”

Y conocen el camino adonde voy.”

5 T homas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

“Señor, si no sabemos adónde vas, ¿cómo vamos a conocer el camino?” Le dijo Tomás.

6 J esus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Jesús le dijo: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por Mí.

7 I f you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him.”

Si ustedes Me hubieran conocido, también hubieran conocido a Mi Padre; desde ahora Lo conocen y Lo han visto.”

8 P hilip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.”

“Señor, muéstranos al Padre y nos basta,” Le dijo Felipe.

9 J esus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, ‘Show us the Father?’

Jesús le dijo: “¿Tanto tiempo he estado con ustedes, y todavía no Me conoces, Felipe? El que Me ha visto a Mí, ha visto al Padre. ¿Cómo dices tú: ‘Muéstranos al Padre’?

10 D on’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

¿No crees que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí ? Las palabras que Yo les digo, no las hablo por Mi propia cuenta, sino que el Padre que mora en Mí es el que hace las obras.

11 B elieve me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Créanme que Yo estoy en el Padre y el Padre en Mí; y si no, crean por las obras mismas.

12 M ost certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

En verdad les digo: el que cree en Mí, las obras que Yo hago, él las hará también; y aun mayores que éstas hará, porque Yo voy al Padre.

13 W hatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Y todo lo que pidan en Mi nombre, lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.

14 I f you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Si Me piden algo en Mi nombre, Yo lo haré. La Promesa del Espíritu Santo

15 I f you love me, keep my commandments.

“Si ustedes Me aman, guardarán Mis mandamientos.

16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,—

Entonces Yo rogaré al Padre, y El les dará otro Consolador (Intercesor) para que esté con ustedes para siempre;

17 t he Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.

es decir, el Espíritu de verdad, a quien el mundo no puede recibir, porque ni Lo ve ni Lo conoce, pero ustedes sí Lo conocen porque mora con ustedes y estará en ustedes.

18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.

No los dejaré huérfanos; vendré a ustedes.

19 Y et a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.

Un poco más de tiempo y el mundo no Me verá más, pero ustedes Me verán; porque Yo vivo, ustedes también vivirán.

20 I n that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

En ese día conocerán que Yo estoy en Mi Padre, y ustedes en Mí y Yo en ustedes.

21 O ne who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”

El que tiene Mis mandamientos y los guarda, ése es el que Me ama; y el que Me ama será amado por Mi Padre; y Yo lo amaré y Me manifestaré a él.”

22 J udas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”

Judas (no el Iscariote) Le dijo: “Señor, ¿y qué ha pasado que Te vas a manifestar a nosotros y no al mundo ?”

23 J esus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.

Jesús le respondió: “Si alguien Me ama, guardará Mi palabra; y Mi Padre lo amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos con él morada.

24 H e who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.

El que no Me ama, no guarda Mis palabras; y la palabra que ustedes oyen no es Mía, sino del Padre que Me envió.

25 I have said these things to you, while still living with you.

“Estas cosas les he dicho estando con ustedes.

26 B ut the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.

Pero el Consolador (Intercesor), el Espíritu Santo, a quien el Padre enviará en Mi nombre, El les enseñará todas las cosas, y les recordará todo lo que les he dicho. La Paz de Cristo

27 P eace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

La paz les dejo, Mi paz les doy; no se la doy a ustedes como el mundo la da. No se turbe su corazón ni tenga miedo.

28 Y ou heard how I told you, ‘I go away, and I come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.

Oyeron que les dije: ‘Me voy, y vendré a ustedes.’ Si Me amaran, se regocijarían, porque voy al Padre, ya que el Padre es mayor que Yo.

29 N ow I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you may believe.

Y se lo he dicho ahora, antes que suceda, para que cuando suceda, crean.

30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world comes, and he has nothing in me.

No hablaré mucho más con ustedes, porque viene el príncipe (gobernante) de este mundo, y él no tiene nada en Mí;

31 B ut that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

pero para que el mundo sepa que Yo amo al Padre, y como el Padre Me mandó, así hago. Levántense, vámonos de aquí.
