1 G od, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,

Dios, habiendo hablado hace mucho tiempo, en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras a los padres por los profetas,

2 h as at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

en estos últimos días nos ha hablado por Su Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todas las cosas, por medio de quien hizo también el universo.

3 H is Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

El es el resplandor de Su gloria y la expresión (representación) exacta de Su naturaleza, y sostiene todas las cosas por la palabra de Su poder. Después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, el Hijo se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 h aving become so much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they have.

siendo mucho mejor (llegando a ser superior a) los ángeles, por cuanto ha heredado un nombre más excelente que ellos. El Hijo, Superior a los Angeles

5 F or to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today have I become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”

Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: “ Hijo Mio eres Tu, Yo Te he engendrado hoy;” y otra vez: “ Yo sere Padre para El, y El sera Hijo para Mi ?”

Has amado la justicia y aborrecido la iniquidad; por lo cual Dios, Tu Dios, Te ha ungido con oleo de alegria mas que a Tus compañeros.”

10 A nd, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.

También: “ Tu, Señor, en el principio pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y los cielos son obra de Tus manos;

11 T hey will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.

Ellos pereceran, pero Tu permaneces; y todos ellos como una vestidura se envejeceran,

12 Y ou will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years will not fail.”

y como un manto los enrollaras; como una vestidura seran mudados. Pero Tu eres el mismo, y Tus años no tendran fin.”

13 B ut which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”

Pero, ¿a cuál de los ángeles jamás ha dicho Dios: “ Sientate a Mi diestra hasta que ponga a Tus enemigos por estrado de Tus pies ?”

14 A ren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?

¿No son todos ellos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servir por causa de los que heredarán la salvación ?
