1 S oon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve,

Poco después, Jesús comenzó a recorrer las ciudades y aldeas, proclamando y anunciando las buenas nuevas (el evangelio) del reino de Dios. Con El iban los doce discípulos,

2 a nd certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

y también algunas mujeres que habían sido sanadas de espíritus malos y de enfermedades: María, llamada Magdalena, de la que habían salido siete demonios;

3 a nd Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others; who served them from their possessions.

Juana, mujer de Chuza, mayordomo de Herodes (Antipas); Susana y muchas otras que de sus bienes personales contribuían al sostenimiento de ellos. Parábola del Sembrador

4 W hen a great multitude came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.

Habiéndose congregado una gran multitud y los que de varias ciudades acudían a Jesús, entonces les habló por medio de una parábola:

5 “ The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

“El sembrador salió a sembrar su semilla. Al sembrarla, una parte cayó junto al camino, y fue pisoteada y las aves del cielo se la comieron.

6 O ther seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

Otra parte cayó sobre la roca, y tan pronto como creció, se secó, porque no tenía humedad.

7 O ther fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.

Otra parte cayó en medio de los espinos; y los espinos, al crecer con ella, la ahogaron.

8 O ther fell into the good ground, and grew, and produced one hundred times as much fruit.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Y otra parte cayó en tierra buena, y creció y produjo una cosecha a ciento por uno.” Al hablar estas cosas, Jesús exclamaba: “El que tiene oídos para oír, que oiga.” Explicación de la Parábola

9 T hen his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Sus discípulos Le preguntaban qué quería decir esta parábola,

10 H e said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of God’s Kingdom, but to the rest in parables; that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’

y El respondió: “A ustedes se les ha concedido conocer los misterios del reino de Dios, pero a los demás les hablo en parábolas, para que viendo, no vean; y oyendo, no entiendan.

11 N ow the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

La parábola es ésta: la semilla es la palabra de Dios.

12 T hose along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

Aquéllos a lo largo del camino son los que han oído, pero después viene el diablo y arrebata la palabra de sus corazones, para que no crean y se salven.

13 T hose on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

Aquéllos sobre la roca son los que, cuando oyen, reciben la palabra con gozo; pero no tienen raíz profunda; creen por algún tiempo, y en el momento de la tentación sucumben.

14 T hat which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

La semilla que cayó entre los espinos, son los que han oído, y al continuar su camino son ahogados por las preocupaciones, las riquezas y los placeres de la vida, y su fruto no madura.

15 T hat in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and produces fruit with patience.

Pero la semilla en la tierra buena, son los que han oído la palabra con corazón recto y bueno, y la retienen, y dan fruto con su perseverancia.

16 “ No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

“Nadie enciende una lámpara y la cubre con una vasija, o la pone debajo de una cama, sino que la pone sobre un candelero para que los que entren vean la luz.

17 F or nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.

Pues no hay nada oculto que no haya de ser manifiesto, ni secreto que no haya de ser conocido y salga a la luz.

18 B e careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

Por tanto, tengan cuidado de cómo oyen; porque al que tiene, más le será dado; y al que no tiene, aun lo que cree que tiene se le quitará.” La Madre y los Hermanos de Jesús

19 H is mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

Entonces la madre y los hermanos de Jesús llegaron a donde El estaba, pero no podían acercarse a El debido al gentío.

20 S ome people told him, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

“Tu madre y Tus hermanos están afuera y Te quieren ver,” Le avisaron.

21 B ut he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it.”

Pero El les respondió: “Mi madre y Mis hermanos son éstos que oyen la palabra de Dios y la hacen.” Jesús Calma la Tempestad

22 N ow on one of those days, he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

Uno de aquellos días, Jesús entró en una barca con Sus discípulos, y les dijo: “Pasemos al otro lado del lago.” Y se hicieron a la mar.

23 B ut as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

Pero mientras ellos navegaban, El se durmió; y una violenta tempestad descendió sobre el lago, y comenzaron a hundirse y corrían peligro.

24 T hey came to him, and awoke him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm.

Llegándose a Jesús, Lo despertaron, diciendo: “¡Maestro, Maestro, que perecemos!” Y El, levantándose, reprendió al viento y a las olas embravecidas, y cesaron y sobrevino la calma.

25 H e said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying to one another, “Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

“¿Dónde está la fe de ustedes?” les dijo. Pero ellos estaban atemorizados y asombrados, diciéndose unos a otros: “¿Quién, pues, es Este que aun a los vientos y al agua manda y Lo obedecen?” El Endemoniado Gadareno

26 T hey arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

Entonces navegaron hacia la tierra de los Gadarenos que está al lado opuesto de Galilea.

27 W hen Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

Cuando Jesús bajó a tierra, Le salió al encuentro un hombre de la ciudad poseído por demonios, y que por mucho tiempo no se había puesto ropa alguna, ni vivía en una casa sino en los sepulcros.

28 W hen he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

Al ver a Jesús, gritó y cayó delante de El, y dijo en alta voz: “¿Qué tienes Tú que ver conmigo, Jesús, Hijo del Dios Altísimo? Te ruego que no me atormentes.”

29 F or Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

Porque El mandaba al espíritu inmundo que saliera del hombre, pues muchas veces se había apoderado de él, y estaba atado con cadenas y grillos y bajo guardia; a pesar de todo rompía las ataduras y era llevado por el demonio a los desiertos.

30 J esus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

Entonces Jesús le preguntó: “¿Cómo te llamas?” “Legión,” contestó; porque muchos demonios habían entrado en él.

31 T hey begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

Y Le rogaban que no les ordenara irse al abismo.

32 N ow there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.

Había una manada de muchos cerdos paciendo allí en el monte; y los demonios Le rogaron que les permitiera entrar en los cerdos. Y El les dio permiso.

33 T he demons came out of the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.

Los demonios salieron del hombre y entraron en los cerdos, y la manada se precipitó por el despeñadero al lago y se ahogaron.

34 W hen those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.

Cuando los que los cuidaban vieron lo que había sucedido, huyeron y lo contaron en la ciudad y por los campos.

35 P eople went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

Salió entonces la gente a ver qué había sucedido; y vinieron a Jesús, y encontraron al hombre de quien habían salido los demonios, sentado a los pies de Jesús, vestido y en su cabal juicio, y se llenaron de temor.

36 T hose who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

Los que lo habían visto, les contaron cómo el que estaba endemoniado había sido sanado.

37 A ll the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.

Entonces toda la gente (la multitud) de la región alrededor de los Gadarenos Le pidió a Jesús que se alejara de ellos, porque estaban poseídos de un gran temor. Y El, entrando a una barca, regresó.

38 B ut the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Pero el hombre de quien habían salido los demonios Le rogaba que le permitiera estar con El; pero Jesús lo despidió, diciendo:

39 “ Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

“Vuelve a tu casa, y cuenta cuán grandes cosas Dios ha hecho por ti.” Y él se fue, proclamando por toda la ciudad cuán grandes cosas Jesús había hecho por él. Jairo Ruega por su Hija

40 W hen Jesus returned, the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

Cuando Jesús volvió, la multitud Lo recibió con gozo, porque todos Lo habían estado esperando.

41 B ehold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet, and begged him to come into his house,

Entonces llegó un hombre llamado Jairo, que era un oficial de la sinagoga. Cayendo a los pies de Jesús, Le rogaba que entrara a su casa;

42 f or he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

porque tenía una hija única, como de doce años, que estaba al borde de la muerte. Pero mientras El iba, la muchedumbre Lo apretaba. Jesús Sana a una Mujer

43 A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any,

Y una mujer que había tenido un flujo de sangre por doce años y que había gastado en médicos todo cuanto tenía, sin que nadie pudiera curarla,

44 c ame behind him, and touched the fringe of his cloak, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

se acercó a Jesús por detrás y tocó el borde de Su manto, y al instante cesó el flujo de su sangre.

45 J esus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

Y Jesús preguntó: “¿Quién es el que Me ha tocado?” Mientras todos lo negaban, Pedro dijo, y los que con él estaban: “Maestro, las multitudes Te aprietan y Te oprimen.”

46 B ut Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

Pero Jesús dijo: “Alguien Me tocó, porque me di cuenta de que había salido poder de Mí.”

47 W hen the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Al ver la mujer que ella no había pasado inadvertida, se acercó temblando, y cayendo delante de El, declaró en presencia de todo el pueblo la razón por la cual Lo había tocado, y cómo al instante había sido sanada.

48 H e said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Y El le dijo: “Hija, tu fe te ha sanado; vete en paz.” Jesús Resucita a la Hija de Jairo

49 W hile he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

Mientras Jesús estaba todavía hablando, vino alguien de la casa de Jairo, oficial de la sinagoga, diciendo: “Tu hija ha muerto; no molestes más al Maestro.”

50 B ut Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

Pero cuando Jesús lo oyó, le respondió: “No temas; cree solamente, y ella será sanada.”

51 W hen he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

Al llegar Jesús a la casa, no permitió que nadie entrara con El sino sólo Pedro, Juan y Jacobo (Santiago), y el padre y la madre de la muchacha.

52 A ll were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

Todos la lloraban y se lamentaban; pero El dijo: “No lloren, porque no ha muerto, sino que duerme.”

53 T hey were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

Y se burlaban de El, sabiendo que ella había muerto.

54 B ut he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

Pero El, tomándola de la mano, clamó, diciendo: “¡Niña, levántate!”

55 H er spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

Entonces le volvió a ella su espíritu y se levantó al instante, y Jesús mandó que le dieran de comer.

56 H er parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.

Sus padres estaban asombrados, pero El les encargó que no dijeran a nadie lo que había sucedido.
