1 W hen I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

Por eso, cuando fui a ustedes, hermanos, proclamándoles el testimonio de Dios, no fui con superioridad de palabra o de sabiduría.

2 F or I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Porque nada me propuse saber entre ustedes excepto a Jesucristo, y Este crucificado.

3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

Estuve entre ustedes con debilidad y con temor y mucho temblor,

4 M y speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

y mi mensaje (mi palabra) y mi predicación no fueron con palabras persuasivas de sabiduría, sino con demostración del Espíritu y de poder,

5 t hat your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

para que la fe de ustedes no descanse en la sabiduría de los hombres, sino en el poder de Dios. La Revelación por el Espíritu de Dios

6 W e speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown; yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nothing.

Sin embargo, hablamos sabiduría entre los que han alcanzado madurez; pero una sabiduría no de este siglo, ni de los gobernantes de este siglo, que van desapareciendo,

7 B ut we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,

sino que hablamos sabiduría de Dios en misterio, la sabiduría oculta que, desde antes de los siglos, Dios predestinó para nuestra gloria.

8 w hich none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory.

Esta sabiduría que ninguno de los gobernantes de este siglo ha entendido, porque si la hubieran entendido no habrían crucificado al Señor de gloria;

9 B ut as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.”

sino como está escrito: “ Cosas que ojo no vio, ni oido oyo, Ni han entrado al corazon del hombre, son las cosas que Dios ha preparado para los que Lo aman.”

10 B ut to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Pero Dios nos las reveló por medio del Espíritu, porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun las profundidades de Dios.

11 F or who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit.

Porque entre los hombres, ¿quién conoce los pensamientos de un hombre, sino el espíritu del hombre que está en él? Asimismo, nadie conoce los pensamientos de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios.

12 B ut we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

Y nosotros hemos recibido, no el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para que conozcamos lo que Dios nos ha dado gratuitamente,

13 W hich things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

de lo cual también hablamos, no con palabras enseñadas por sabiduría humana, sino con las enseñadas por el Espíritu, combinando pensamientos espirituales con palabras espirituales.

14 N ow the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Pero el hombre natural no acepta las cosas del Espíritu de Dios, porque para él son necedad; y no las puede entender, porque son cosas que se disciernen (se examinan) espiritualmente.

15 B ut he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.

En cambio, el que es espiritual juzga todas las cosas; pero él no es juzgado por nadie.

16 “ For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.

Porque ¿ quien ha conocido la mente del Señor, para que Lo instruya ? Pero nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo.
