1 A conteció en el año duodécimo, en el mes duodécimo, el día primero del mes, que vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

2 « Hijo de hombre, entona una lamentación por el faraón, rey de Egipto, y dile: »“A leoncillo de naciones eres semejante, y eres como el dragón en los mares; pues secabas tus ríos, enturbiabas las aguas con tus pies y pisoteabas sus riberas.

Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and tell him, You were likened to a young lion of the nations: yet you are as a monster in the seas; and you broke out with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.

3 » ”Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: Yo extenderé sobre ti mi red con la reunión de muchos pueblos, y te harán subir con mi red.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will spread out my net on you with a company of many peoples; and they shall bring you up in my net.

4 » ”Te echaré por tierra, te echaré sobre la faz del campo, haré que se posen sobre ti todas las aves del cielo, y saciaré de ti a todas las fieras de la tierra.

I will leave you on the land, I will cast you out on the open field, and will cause all the birds of the sky to settle on you, and I will satisfy the animals of the whole earth with you.

5 P ondré tus carnes sobre los montes y llenaré los valles con tus cadáveres.

I will lay your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.

6 R egaré con tu sangre la tierra donde nadas, hasta los montes, y los arroyos se llenarán de ti.

I will also water with your blood the land in which you swim, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of you.

7 C uando te haya extinguido, cubriré los cielos y haré oscurecer sus estrellas; el sol cubriré con nublado y la luz de la luna no resplandecerá.

When I shall extinguish you, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

8 H aré que por ti se oscurezcan todos los astros brillantes del cielo, y pondré tinieblas sobre tu tierra”, dice Jehová, el Señor.

All the bright lights of the sky will I make dark over you, and set darkness on your land, says the Lord Yahweh.

9 » Entristeceré el corazón de muchos pueblos cuando lleve al cautiverio a los tuyos entre las naciones, por los países que no has conocido.

I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.

10 D ejaré atónitos por ti a muchos pueblos, y sus reyes tendrán horror grande a causa de ti, cuando haga resplandecer mi espada ante sus rostros; y todos temblarán a cada instante en el día de tu caída,

Yes, I will make many peoples amazed at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for you, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.

11 p orque así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »La espada del rey de Babilonia vendrá sobre ti.

For thus says the Lord Yahweh: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come on you.

12 C on espadas de fuertes haré que caiga tu pueblo; todos ellos serán los poderosos de las naciones. Destruirán la soberbia de Egipto y toda su multitud será deshecha.

By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nothing the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.

13 T odas sus bestias destruiré de sobre las muchas aguas; ya no las enturbiará ni pie de hombre ni pezuña de bestia.

I will destroy also all its animals from beside many waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of animals trouble them.

14 E ntonces haré asentarse sus aguas y haré correr sus ríos como aceite, dice Jehová, el Señor.

Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, says the Lord Yahweh.

15 C uando deje asolado el país de Egipto, y el país quede despojado de todo cuanto hay en él; cuando mate a todos los que en él moran, sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I shall strike all those who dwell therein, then shall they know that I am Yahweh.

16 » Ésta es la lamentación que cantarán. Las hijas de las naciones la cantarán; entonarán la lamentación por Egipto y por toda la multitud, dice Jehová, el Señor.»

This is the lamentation with which they shall lament; the daughters of the nations shall lament therewith; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they lament therewith, says the Lord Yahweh.

17 A conteció en el año duodécimo, a los quince días del mes, que vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,

18 « Hijo de hombre, entona una lamentación por la multitud de Egipto; y despéñalo a él y a las hijas de las naciones poderosas, a lo profundo de la tierra, con los que descienden a la sepultura.

Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, to the lower parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit.

19 “ ¿Acaso eres más hermoso que los otros? ¡Pues desciende y yace en la fosa con los incircuncisos!”

Whom do you pass in beauty? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.

20 » Entre los muertos a espada caerá; a la espada es entregado. ¡Traedlo a él y a todos sus pueblos!

They shall fall among those who are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword; draw her away and all her multitudes.

21 D e en medio del seol le hablarán los fuertes de los fuertes, junto con sus aliados, los que descendieron y yacen con los incircuncisos muertos a espada.

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the middle of Sheol with those who help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

22 » Allí está Asiria con toda su multitud; a su alrededor están sus sepulcros; todos ellos cayeron muertos a espada.

Asshur is there and all her company; her graves are all around her; all of them slain, fallen by the sword;

23 S us sepulcros fueron puestos a los lados de la fosa, y su gente está por los alrededores de su sepulcro; todos ellos cayeron muertos a espada, los que sembraron el terror en la tierra de los vivientes.

whose graves are set in the uttermost parts of the pit, and her company is around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who caused terror in the land of the living.

24 » Allí está Elam con toda su multitud por los alrededores de su sepulcro. Todos ellos cayeron muertos a espada y descendieron incircuncisos a lo más profundo de la tierra, porque sembraron su terror en la tierra de los vivientes, mas llevaron su ignominia con los que descienden al sepulcro.

There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised into the lower parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living, and have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit.

25 E n medio de los muertos le pusieron lecho, con toda su multitud; a sus alrededores están sus sepulcros; todos ellos incircuncisos, muertos a espada, porque fue puesto su espanto en la tierra de los vivientes, mas llevaron su ignominia con los que descienden al sepulcro; él fue puesto en medio de los muertos.

They have set her a bed among the slain with all her multitude; her graves are around her; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for their terror was caused in the land of the living, and they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit: he is put among those who are slain.

26 » Allí están Mesec y Tubal, con toda su multitud; a sus alrededores están sus sepulcros; todos ellos incircuncisos, muertos a espada, porque habían sembrado su terror en la tierra de los vivientes.

There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude; their graves are around them; all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword; for they caused their terror in the land of the living.

27 N o yacerán con los fuertes de los incircuncisos que cayeron, los que descendieron al seol con sus armas de guerra y sus espadas puestas debajo de sus cabezas; mas sus maldades estarán sobre sus huesos, por cuanto fueron el terror de los fuertes en la tierra de los vivientes.

They shall not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war, and have laid their swords under their heads, and their iniquities are on their bones; for they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

28 T ú, pues, serás quebrantado entre los incircuncisos y yacerás con los muertos a espada.

But you shall be broken among the uncircumcised, and shall lie with those who are slain by the sword.

29 » Allí está Edom, con sus reyes y todos sus príncipes, quienes con su poderío fueron puestos con los muertos a espada; ellos yacerán con los incircuncisos, con los que descienden al sepulcro.

There is Edom, her kings and all her princes, who in their might are laid with those who are slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit.

30 » Allí están los gobernantes del norte, todos ellos, y todos los sidonios, que con su terror descendieron con los muertos; avergonzados de su poderío, yacen también incircuncisos con los muertos a espada y comparten su ignominia con los que descienden al sepulcro.

There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Sidonians, who are gone down with the slain; in the terror which they caused by their might they are put to shame; and they lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

31 » A estos verá el faraón, y se consolará sobre toda su multitud: al faraón muerto a espada, y todo su ejército, dice Jehová, el Señor.

Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, says the Lord Yahweh.

32 P orque puse mi terror en la tierra de los vivientes, también el faraón y toda su multitud yacerán entre los incircuncisos, con los muertos a espada, dice Jehová, el Señor.»

For I have put his terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid among the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Yahweh.
