1 D espués de esto miré, y vi que había una puerta abierta en el cielo. La primera voz que oí era como de una trompeta que, hablando conmigo, dijo: «¡Sube acá y yo te mostraré las cosas que sucederán después de éstas!»

After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this.”

2 A l instante, estando yo en el Espíritu, vi un trono establecido en el cielo, y en el trono, uno sentado.

Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne

3 L a apariencia del que estaba sentado era semejante a una piedra de jaspe y de cornalina, y alrededor del trono había un arco iris semejante en su apariencia a la esmeralda.

that looked like a jasper stone and a sardius. There was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald to look at.

4 A lrededor del trono había veinticuatro tronos, y en los tronos vi sentados a veinticuatro ancianos vestidos de ropas blancas, con coronas de oro en sus cabezas.

Around the throne were twenty-four thrones. On the thrones were twenty-four elders sitting, dressed in white garments, with crowns of gold on their heads.

5 D el trono salían relámpagos, truenos y voces. Delante del trono ardían siete lámparas de fuego, que son los siete espíritus de Dios.

Out of the throne proceed lightnings, sounds, and thunders. There were seven lamps of fire burning before his throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 T ambién delante del trono había como un mar de vidrio semejante al cristal, y junto al trono y alrededor del trono había cuatro seres vivientes llenos de ojos por delante y por detrás.

Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, similar to crystal. In the middle of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes before and behind.

7 E l primer ser viviente era semejante a un león; el segundo era semejante a un becerro; el tercero tenía rostro como de hombre; y el cuarto era semejante a un águila volando.

The first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.

8 L os cuatro seres vivientes tenían cada uno seis alas, y alrededor y por dentro estaban llenos de ojos, y día y noche, sin cesar, decían: «¡Santo, santo, santo es el Señor Dios Todopoderoso, el que era, el que es y el que ha de venir!»

The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!”

9 C ada vez que aquellos seres vivientes dan gloria y honra y acción de gracias al que está sentado en el trono, al que vive por los siglos de los siglos,

When the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to him who sits on the throne, to him who lives forever and ever,

10 l os veinticuatro ancianos se postran delante del que está sentado en el trono y adoran al que vive por los siglos de los siglos, y echan sus coronas delante del trono, diciendo:

the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and throw their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 « Señor, digno eres de recibir la gloria, la honra y el poder, porque tú creaste todas las cosas, y por tu voluntad existen y fueron creadas.»

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One, to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed, and were created!”
