1 T hen Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:

Entonces respondió Bildad suhita, y dijo:

2 “ Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places.

Dominio y pavor pertenecen al que establece la paz en sus alturas.

3 I s there any number to His armies? Upon whom does His light not rise?

¿Tienen número sus ejércitos ? ¿Y sobre quién no se levanta su luz?

4 H ow then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman?

¿Cómo puede un hombre, pues, ser justo con Dios ? ¿O cómo puede ser limpio el que nace de mujer ?

5 I f even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight,

Si aun la luna no tiene brillo y las estrellas no son puras a sus ojos,

6 H ow much less man, who is a maggot, And a son of man, who is a worm?”

¡cuánto menos el hombre, esa larva, y el hijo del hombre, ese gusano!
