1 ( 5-16) Иерихон заперся и был заперт от сынов Израилевых: никто не выходил и никто не входил.

Now the gates of Jericho were all shut because of the people of Israel. No one went out and no one came in.

2 ( 6-1) Тогда сказал Господь Иисусу: вот, Я предаю в руки твои Иерихон и царя его, людей сильных;

The Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand, with its king and soldiers.

3 ( 6-2) пойдите вокруг города все способные к войне и обходите город однажды; и это делай шесть дней;

Walk around the city. Have all the men of war go around the city once. Do this for six days.

4 ( 6-3) и семь священников пусть несут семь труб юбилейных пред ковчегом; а в седьмой день обойдите вокруг города семь раз, и священники пусть трубят трубами;

Seven religious leaders will carry seven rams’ horns. They will walk in front of the special box of the agreement. Then on the seventh day you will walk around the city seven times. And the religious leaders will blow horns.

5 ( 6-4) когда затрубит юбилейный рог, когда услышите звук трубы, тогда весь народ пусть воскликнет громким голосом, и стена города обрушится до своего основания, и народ пойдет каждый с своей стороны.

When you hear the long sound of the ram’s horn, all the people should call out with a loud noise. The wall of the city will fall to the ground. And then all the people will all go in the city.”

6 ( 6-5) И призвал Иисус, сын Навин, священников и сказал им: несите ковчег завета; а семь священников пусть несут семь труб юбилейных пред ковчегом Господним.

So Joshua the son of Nun called the religious leaders and said to them, “Take up the special box of the agreement. And let seven religious leaders carry seven rams’ horns in front of the special box of the agreement.”

7 ( 6-6) И сказал народу: пойдите и обойдите вокруг города; вооруженные же пусть идут пред ковчегом Господним.

Then he said to the people, “Go and walk around the city. Let the men ready for battle go in front of the special box of the agreement.”

8 ( 6-7) Как скоро Иисус сказал народу, семь священников, несших семь труб юбилейных пред Господом, пошли и затрубили трубами, и ковчег завета Господня шел за ними;

When Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven religious leaders carrying the seven rams’ horns before the Lord walked on and blew the horns. And the special box of the agreement of the Lord followed them.

9 ( 6-8) вооруженные же шли впереди священников, которые трубили трубами; а идущие позади следовали за ковчегом, во время шествия трубя трубами.

The men ready for battle went in front of the religious leaders who blew the horns. The other soldiers came behind the special box of the agreement while the horns sounded without stopping.

10 ( 6-9) Народу же Иисус дал повеление и сказал: не восклицайте и не давайте слышать голоса вашего, и чтобы слово не выходило из уст ваших до дня, доколе я не скажу вам: 'воскликните!' и тогда воскликните.

But Joshua told the people, “Do not call out or let your voice be heard. Not a word should come from your mouth until the day I tell you to call out. Then you must call out.”

11 ( 6-10) Таким образом ковчег Господня пошел вокруг города и обошел однажды; и пришли в стан и ночевали в стане.

So he had the special box of the agreement taken around the city once. Then they returned to the tents and stayed there through the night.

12 ( 6-11) Иисус встал рано поутру, и священники понесли ковчег Господня;

Joshua got up early in the morning. And the religious leaders took up the special box of the agreement.

13 ( 6-12) и семь священников, несших семь труб юбилейных пред ковчегом Господним, шли и трубили трубами; вооруженные же шли впереди их, а идущие позади следовали за ковчегом Господня и идучи трубили трубами.

The seven religious leaders carrying the seven rams’ horns in front of the special box of the agreement began walking and blew the horns without stopping. The men ready for battle went in front of them. The other soldiers came behind the special box of the agreement. And the horns sounded without stopping.

14 ( 6-13) Таким образом и на другой день обошли вокруг города однажды и возвратились в стан. И делали это шесть дней.

The second day they walked around the city once. Then they returned to the tents. They did this for six days.

15 ( 6-14) В седьмой день встали рано, при появлении зари, и обошли таким же образом вокруг города семь раз; только в этот день обошли вокруг города семь раз.

On the seventh day they got up early at the rising of the sun. They walked around the city in the same way, but on that day they walked around the city seven times.

16 ( 6-15) Когда в седьмой раз священники трубили трубами, Иисус сказал народу: воскликните, ибо Господь предал вам город!

The seventh time, when the religious leaders blew their horns, Joshua said to the people, “Call out! For the Lord has given you the city.

17 ( 6-16) город будет под заклятием, и все, что в нем, Господу; только Раав блудница пусть останется в живых, она и всякий, кто у нее в доме; потому что она укрыла посланных, которых мы посылали;

The city and all that is in it must be destroyed because everything in it belongs to the Lord. Only Rahab, the woman who sells the use of her body, and all who are with her in the house will live, because she hid the men we sent.

18 ( 6-17) но вы берегитесь заклятого, чтоб и самим не подвергнуться заклятию, если возьмете что-нибудь из заклятого, и чтобы на стан Израилевых не навести заклятия и не сделать ему беды;

But keep yourselves from the things that are to be destroyed. Or while you give them up to be destroyed, you might desire them. Then you would make the camp of Israel sinful also, and bring trouble on it.

19 ( 6-18) и все серебро и золото, и сосуды медные и железные да будут святынею Господу и войдут в сокровищницу Господню.

But all the silver and gold and objects of brass and iron are holy to the Lord. They will go into the store-house of the Lord.”

20 ( 6-19) Народ воскликнул, и затрубили трубами. Как скоро услышал народ голос трубы, воскликнул народ громким голосом, и обрушилась стена до своего основания, и народ пошел в город, каждый с своей стороны, и взяли город.

So the people called out and the religious leaders blew the horns. When the people heard the sound of the horns, they called out even louder. And the wall fell to the ground. All the people went straight in and took the city.

21 ( 6-20) И предали заклятию всё, что в городе, и мужей и жен, и молодых и старых, и волов, и овец, и ослов, мечом.

They destroyed everything in the city, both man and woman, young and old, cattle, sheep, and donkey, with the sword.

22 ( 6-21) А двум юношам, высматривавшим землю, Иисус сказал: пойдите в дом оной блудницы и выведите оттуда ее и всех, которые у нее, так как вы поклялись ей.

Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, “Go into the house of the woman who sells the use of her body. Bring out the woman and all who are with her, as you promised her.”

23 ( 6-22) И пошли юноши, высматривавшие и вывели Раав и отца ее и мать ее, и братьев ее, и всех, которые у нее, и всех родственников ее вывели, и поставили их вне стана Израильского.

So the young men who had spied out the land went in, and brought out Rahab and her father and mother and brothers and all she had. They brought out all of her family and took them outside the tents of Israel.

24 ( 6-23) А город и все, что в нем, сожгли огнем; только серебро и золото и сосуды медные и железные отдали, в сокровищницу дома Господня.

Then they burned the city with fire, and all that was in it. Only the silver and gold and objects of brass and iron they put into the store-house of the holy tent of the Lord.

25 ( 6-24) Раав же блудницу и дом отца ее и всех, которые у нее, Иисус оставил в живых, и она живет среди Израиля до сего дня, потому что она укрыла посланных, которых посылал Иисус для высмотрения Иерихона.

Joshua saved the life of Rahab, the woman who sold the use of her body, and those of her father’s house and all she had. She has lived among Israel to this day, because she hid the men Joshua had sent to spy out Jericho.

26 ( 6-25) В то время Иисус поклялся и сказал: проклят пред Господом тот, кто восставит и построит город сей Иерихон; на первенце своем он положит основание его и на младшем своем поставит врата его.

Then Joshua made them promise at that time, saying, “May the Lord destroy the man who gets up and builds this city of Jericho. With the loss of his first-born he will begin to build it. With the loss of his youngest son he will set up its gates.”

27 ( 6-26) И Господь был с Иисусом, и слава его носилась по всей земле.

So the Lord was with Joshua. He was well known and respected in all the land.
