1 T he Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be moved.

Il Signore regna; egli si è rivestito di maestà; il Signore si è rivestito, si è cinto di forza; il mondo quindi è stabile, e non sarà scosso.

2 Y our throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.

Il tuo trono è saldo dai tempi antichi, tu esisti dall’eternità.

3 T he floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.

I fiumi hanno alzato, o Signore, i fiumi hanno alzato la loro voce; i fiumi elevano il loro fragore.

4 T he Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Più delle voci delle grandi, delle potenti acque, più dei flutti del mare, il Signore è potente nei luoghi altissimi.

5 Y our testimonies are very sure; Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord, forever.

I tuoi statuti sono perfettamente stabili; la santità si addice alla tua casa, o Signore, per sempre.
