1 O God, give the king thy judgments, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

Dumnezeule, dă judecăţile Tale regelui şi dreptatea Ta fiului regelui!

2 H e will judge thy people with righteousness, and thine afflicted with judgment.

Atunci el va judeca cu dreptate pe poporul Tău şi cu nepărtinire pe sărmanii Tăi.

3 T he mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the hills, by righteousness.

Munţii vor aduce pacea pentru popor şi tot aşa şi dealurile, prin dreptate.

4 H e will do justice to the afflicted of the people; he will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.

El le va face dreptate asupriţilor din popor, îi va izbăvi pe fiii săracilor şi îl va zdrobi pe asupritor.

5 T hey shall fear thee as long as sun and moon endure, from generation to generation.

El va trăi atâta timp cât va fi soare, cât va fi lună, din neam în neam.

6 H e shall come down like rain on the mown grass, as showers that water the earth.

El va fi ca ploaia care coboară peste pământul cosit, ca ploile repezi, picurând pământul.

7 I n his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace till the moon be no more.

În zilele lui, cel drept va înflori şi va fi multă pace, până când nu va mai fi lună.

8 A nd he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

El va domni de la o mare la alta şi de la râu până la marginile pământului.

9 T he dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust.

Înaintea lui se vor pleca triburile pustiei, iar duşmanii lui vor linge ţărâna.

10 T he kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer tribute:

Regi din Tarşiş şi din ostroave se vor întoarce cu daruri; regi din Şeba şi din Seba se vor apropia cu ofrande.

11 Y ea, all kings shall bow down before him; all nations shall serve him.

I se vor închina toţi regii, toate popoarele îl vor sluji.

12 F or he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper;

Căci el îl va scăpa pe săracul care strigă şi pe sărmanul lipsit de ajutor.

13 H e will have compassion on the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy:

Va avea milă de cel umil şi sărac, şi va scăpa vieţile săracilor.

14 H e will redeem their souls from oppression and violence, and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

Le va răscumpăra vieţile de la asuprire şi violenţă, căci sângele lor preţuieşte mult pentru el.

15 A nd he shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba; and prayer shall be made for him continually: all the day shall he be blessed.

Să trăiască! Să i se dea podoabe din aur de Şeba! Fie ca oamenii să se roage pentru el totdeauna şi să-l binecuvânteze în fiecare zi!

16 T here shall be abundance of corn in the earth, upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon; and they of the city shall bloom like the herb of the earth.

Să fie belşug de grâne în ţară, chiar şi pe crestele munţilor! Să freamăte pomii ca cei din Liban, iar oamenii din cetăţi să înflorească la fel ca iarba de pe pământ.

17 H is name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and shall bless themselves in him; all nations shall call him blessed.

Să-i rămână numele pe vecie! Să-i dăinuiască numele cât va fi soare! Toate neamurile vor fi binecuvântate prin el şi-l vor numi fericit!

18 B lessed be Jehovah Elohim, the God of Israel, who alone doeth wondrous things!

Binecuvântat să fie Domnul Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Singurul Care poate face minuni!

19 A nd blessed be his glorious name for ever! and let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen, and Amen.

Binecuvântat să-I fie slăvitul Nume în veci! Slava Lui să umple întreg pământul! Amin! Amin!
