1 A nd thou shalt take thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may serve me as priest—Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

Apoi adu-i lângă tine, dintre israeliţi, pe fratele tău, Aaron, şi pe fiii săi, Nadab şi Abihu, Elazar şi Itamar, ca să-Mi împlinească slujba de preoţi.

2 A nd thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for ornament.

Fratelui tău, Aaron, să-i faci veşminte sfinte, ca acestea să-i confere demnitate şi să-i servească drept podoabă;

3 A nd thou shalt speak with all wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to hallow him, that he may serve me as priest.

să vorbeşti cu toţi acei oameni pricepuţi, pe care i-am umplut cu un duh de înţelepciune, să facă veşmintele lui Aaron, ca să fie sfinţit şi să-Mi împlinească slujba de preot.

4 A nd these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and a cloak, and a checkered vest, a turban, and a girdle; and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may serve me as priest.

Acestea sunt veşmintele pe care trebuie să le facă: un pieptar, un efod, o mantie, o tunică ţesută, o mitră şi un brâu. Atunci când vor face aceste veşminte sfinte pentru fratele tău, Aaron, şi pentru fiii săi, ca aceştia să-Mi împlinească slujba de preoţi,

5 A nd they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus,

să folosească aur, fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi fir de in subţire. Instrucţiuni privind efodul

6 a nd shall make the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, scarlet and twined byssus, of artistic work.

Să facă un efod din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit, lucrat cu măiestrie.

7 I t shall have two shoulder-pieces joined at the two ends thereof, where it is joined together.

Acesta să aibă doi umerari prinşi la cele două margini ale sale, în aşa fel încât să fie unit cu ei.

8 A nd the girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to its work of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet and twined byssus.

Brâul efodului, care este prins de el, să fie lucrat la fel şi din aceleaşi materiale: din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit.

9 A nd thou shalt take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the children of Israel:

Să iei două pietre de onix şi să gravezi pe ele numele israeliţilor:

10 s ix of their names on the one stone, and the six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

11 A ccording to the work of an engraver in stone, as the engravings of a seal, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel; surrounded by enclosures of gold shalt thou make them.

Aşa cum este lucrătura gravorului pe o piatră sau aşa cum este gravura unui sigiliu, tot aşa să gravezi pe cele două pietre numele israeliţilor şi să fixezi apoi aceste pietre în monturi de aur.

12 A nd thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulder-pieces of the ephod stones of memorial for the children of Israel; and Aaron shall bear their names before Jehovah upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

Să pui cele două pietre pe umerarii efodului, ca să fie pietre de aducere-aminte pentru israeliţi. Aaron să poarte numele lor înaintea Domnului, pe umerii săi, ca aducere-aminte.

13 A nd thou shalt make enclosures of gold;

Monturile să le faci din aur;

14 a nd two chains of pure gold; of laced work shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and fasten the wreathen chains to the enclosures.

să faci şi două lănţişoare din aur curat, împletite ca nişte funii şi să prinzi aceste lănţişoare de monturi. Instrucţiuni privind pieptarul

15 A nd thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment of artistic work, like the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus shalt thou make it.

Să faci pieptarul judecăţii, lucrându-l cu măiestrie; să-l faci la fel ca efodul, din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit.

16 S quare shall it be, doubled; a span the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof.

Să aibă suprafaţa pătrată şi să fie făcut din material dublu; lungimea şi lăţimea să fie de o palmă.

17 A nd thou shalt set in it settings of stones—four rows of stones: row, a sardoin, a topaz, and an emerald—the first row;

Să fixezi pe el patru şiruri de pietre: pe primul şir – un sard, un topaz şi un smarald,

18 a nd the second row, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond;

pe al doilea şir – un turcoaz, un safir şi un diamant,

19 a nd the third row, an opal, an agate, and an amethyst;

pe al treilea şir – un iacint, un agat şi un ametist, iar

20 a nd the fourth row, a chrysolite, and an onyx, and a jasper; enclosed in gold shall they be in their settings.

21 A nd the stones shall be according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, engraved as a seal: every one according to his name shall they be for the twelve tribes.

22 A nd thou shalt make on the breastplate chains of laced work, of wreathen work, of pure gold.

23 A nd thou shalt make on the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

tot pentru pieptar să mai faci două inele din aur şi să fixezi ambele inele la cele două margini ale pieptarului.

24 A nd thou shalt put the two wreathen of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate;

Să treci cele două lănţişoare de aur prin cele două inele de la marginile pieptarului,

25 a nd the two ends of the two wreathen thou shalt fasten to the two enclosures, and shalt put on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, on the front thereof.

iar celelalte două capete ale lănţişoarelor să le prinzi în cele două monturi şi să le pui peste umerarii efodului, în partea din faţă.

26 A nd thou shalt make two rings of gold, and shalt put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the border thereof, which faceth the ephod inwards.

Să mai faci două inele de aur şi să le pui la celelalte două margini ale pieptarului, pe partea interioară, în apropierea efodului.

27 A nd two rings of gold shalt thou make, and shalt put them upon the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, to the front thereof just by the coupling thereof, above the girdle of the ephod.

Apoi să mai faci încă două inele de aur şi să le pui în partea inferioară a umerarilor efodului, la nivelul legăturilor sale, deasupra brâului efodului.

28 A nd they shall bind the breastplate with its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

Pieptarul cu inelele lui să fie legat de inelele efodului cu o sfoară albastră, astfel încât să fie fixat peste brâul efodului fără să se mişte de pe efod.

29 A nd Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment on his heart, when he goes in to the sanctuary, for a memorial before Jehovah continually.

Astfel, atunci când va intra în Locul Sfânt, Aaron va purta numele israeliţilor pe inima sa, fixate pe pieptarul judecăţii, pentru o aducere-aminte continuă înaintea Domnului.

30 A nd thou shalt put into the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, that they may be upon Aaron's heart when he goeth in before Jehovah; and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before Jehovah continually.

Pe pieptarul judecăţii să fixezi Urimul şi Tumimul; ele vor fi pe inima lui Aaron atunci când va merge înaintea Domnului. În acest fel, Aaron va purta întotdeauna pe inima sa judecata israeliţilor când va fi înaintea Domnului. Instrucţiuni cu privire la alte veşminte ale preoţilor

31 A nd thou shalt make the cloak of the ephod all of blue.

32 A nd its opening for the head shall be in the midst thereof; there shall be a binding of woven work at its opening round about; as the opening of a coat of mail, it shall be in it—it shall not rend.

Să aibă o deschizătură pentru cap ca şi deschizătura unei cămăşi cu zale, cu un tiv ţesut de jur împrejurul ei, ca să nu se rupă.

33 A nd on the skirts thereof thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, round about the skirts thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

Pe marginea de jos, de jur împrejur, să-i faci rodii din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, cu clopoţei din aur între ele;

34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, in the skirts of the cloak round about.

să fie câte un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, pe marginea de jos a mantiei, de jur împrejur.

35 A nd it shall be on Aaron for service; that his sound may be heard when he goeth into the sanctuary before Jehovah, and when he cometh out, that he may not die.

Aaron să poarte mantia atunci când va face slujba; când va intra în Locul Sfânt, înaintea Domnului şi când va ieşi de acolo, se va auzi sunetul clopoţeilor şi astfel el nu va muri.

36 A nd thou shalt make a thin plate of pure gold, and engrave on it, as the engravings of a seal, Holiness to Jehovah!

Să faci apoi o plăcuţă din aur curat şi să gravezi pe ea, aşa cum se gravează un sigiliu: «Sfânt pentru Domnul. »

37 A nd thou shalt put it on a lace of blue, and it shall be upon the turban—upon the front of the turban shall it be.

Să o prinzi pe mitră cu o sfoară albastră; ea să se afle în partea din faţă a mitrei.

38 A nd it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all gifts of their holy things; and it shall be continually on his forehead, that they may be accepted before Jehovah.

Să fie pe fruntea lui Aaron, iar Aaron va purta asupra lui fărădelegile israeliţilor, când ei îşi vor aduce darurile sfinte; să fie întotdeauna pe fruntea sa, pentru ca ei să fie acceptaţi înaintea Domnului.

39 A nd thou shalt weave the vest of byssus; and thou shalt make a turban of byssus; and thou shalt make a girdle of embroidery.

Să ţeşi apoi o tunică din fir de in subţire şi să faci o mitră tot din fir de in subţire; brâul să fie lucrat la gherghef.

40 A nd for Aaron's sons thou shalt make vests; and thou shalt make for them girdles; and high caps shalt thou make for them, for glory and for ornament.

Pentru fiii lui Aaron să faci tunici, brâie şi scufii, ca acestea să le confere demnitate şi să le servească drept podoabe.

41 A nd thou shalt clothe with them Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and hallow them, that they may serve me as priests.

Să-i îmbraci cu ele pe Aaron şi pe fiii lui, după care să-i ungi, să-i învesteşti în slujire şi să-i sfinţeşti, căci ei Îmi vor sluji ca preoţi.

42 A nd thou shalt make them linen trousers to cover the flesh of nakedness; from the loins even to the hips shall they reach.

Să le faci izmene de in, ca să le acopere goliciunea, de la şold până la coapse.

43 A nd they shall be upon Aaron and his sons when they enter into the tent of meeting, or when they come near to the altar to serve in the sanctuary; that they may not bear iniquity and die—an everlasting statute for him and his seed after him.

Aaron şi fiii săi să le poarte când intră în Cortul Întâlnirii sau în momentul în care se apropie de altar, ca să slujească în Locul Sfânt; dacă nu vor face aşa, vor aduce vina asupra lor şi vor muri. Aceasta să fie o poruncă veşnică pentru el şi pentru urmaşii lui după el.
