1 A nd thou shalt take thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may serve me as priest—Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

Apropie de tine pe fratele tău Aaron şi pe fiii săi, şi ia -i dintre copiii lui Israel şi pune -i deoparte în slujba Mea ca preoţi: pe Aaron şi pe fiii lui Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar şi Itamar.

2 A nd thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for ornament.

Fratelui tău Aaron, să -i faci haine sfinte, ca să -i slujească de cinste şi podoabă.

3 A nd thou shalt speak with all wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to hallow him, that he may serve me as priest.

Vorbeşte cu toţi cei destoinici, cărora le-am dat un duh de pricepere, să facă veşmintele lui Aaron, ca să fie sfinţit, şi să-Mi împlinească slujbă de preot.

4 A nd these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an ephod, and a cloak, and a checkered vest, a turban, and a girdle; and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may serve me as priest.

Iată veşmintele pe cari le vor face: un pieptar, un efod, o mantie, o tunică lucrată la gherghef, o mitră şi un brîu. Să facă fratelui tău Aaron şi fiilor săi, veşminte sfinte, ca să-Mi împlinească slujba de preot.

5 A nd they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus,

Să întrebuinţeze aur, materii văpsite în albastru, în purpuriu, în cărmiziu şi subţire.

6 a nd shall make the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, scarlet and twined byssus, of artistic work.

Efodul să -l facă de aur, de fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărmiziu, şi de in subţire răsucit; să fie lucrat cu măiestrie.

7 I t shall have two shoulder-pieces joined at the two ends thereof, where it is joined together.

Să aibă doi umerari uniţi cu el; la cele două capete ale lui, să fie legat de ei.

8 A nd the girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to its work of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet and twined byssus.

Brîul să fie de aceeaş lucrătură ca efodul şi prins pe el; să fie de aur, de fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărmiziu, şi de in subţire răsucit.

9 A nd thou shalt take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the children of Israel:

Să iei apoi două pietre de onix, şi să sapi pe ele numele fiilor lui Israel:

10 s ix of their names on the one stone, and the six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

şase din numele lor pe o piatră, şi alte şase pe a doua piatră, după şirul naşterilor.

11 A ccording to the work of an engraver in stone, as the engravings of a seal, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel; surrounded by enclosures of gold shalt thou make them.

Pe cele două pietre să sapi numele fiilor lui Israel, cum se face săpătura pe pietre şi pe peceţi; să le legi într'o ferecătură de aur.

12 A nd thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulder-pieces of the ephod stones of memorial for the children of Israel; and Aaron shall bear their names before Jehovah upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

Amîndouă aceste pietre să le pui pe umerarii efodului, ca aducere aminte de fiii lui Israel; şi Aaron le va purta numele înaintea Domnului, pe cei doi umeri ai lui, ca aducere aminte de ei.

13 A nd thou shalt make enclosures of gold;

Să faci apoi nişte ferecături de aur,

14 a nd two chains of pure gold; of laced work shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and fasten the wreathen chains to the enclosures.

şi două lănţişoare de aur curat, pe cari să le împleteşti în chip de sfori; şi lanţurile acestea, împletite astfel, să le pui în ferecături.

15 A nd thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment of artistic work, like the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus shalt thou make it.

Să faci apoi pieptarul judecăţii, lucrat cu măiestrie, să -l faci din aceeaş lucrătură ca efodul; să -l faci de aur, de fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărmiziu, şi de in subţire răsucit.

16 S quare shall it be, doubled; a span the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof.

Să fie în patru colţuri şi îndoit; lungimea lui să fie de o palmă, şi lăţimea tot de o palmă.

17 A nd thou shalt set in it settings of stones—four rows of stones: row, a sardoin, a topaz, and an emerald—the first row;

În el să ţeşi o ţesătură de pietre, şi anume patru rînduri de pietre: în rîndul întîi, un sardonix, un topaz, şi un smaragd;

18 a nd the second row, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a diamond;

în al doilea rînd, un rubin, un safir, şi un diamant;

19 a nd the third row, an opal, an agate, and an amethyst;

în al treilea rînd, un opal, un agat, şi un ametist;

20 a nd the fourth row, a chrysolite, and an onyx, and a jasper; enclosed in gold shall they be in their settings.

în al patrulea rînd, un hrisolit, un onix, şi un iaspis. Aceste pietre să fie legate în ferecătura lor de aur.

21 A nd the stones shall be according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, engraved as a seal: every one according to his name shall they be for the twelve tribes.

Să fie douăsprezece, după numele fiilor lui Israel, săpate ca nişte peceţi, fiecare cu numele uneia din cele douăsprezece seminţii. -

22 A nd thou shalt make on the breastplate chains of laced work, of wreathen work, of pure gold.

Pentru pieptar să faci nişte lănţişoare de aur curat, împletite ca nişte sfori.

23 A nd thou shalt make on the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

Să faci pentru pieptar două verigi de aur, şi aceste două verigi de aur să le pui la cele două capete ale pieptarului.

24 A nd thou shalt put the two wreathen of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate;

Cele două lanţuri de aur împletite să le prinzi de cele două verigi dela cele două capete ale pieptarului.

25 a nd the two ends of the two wreathen thou shalt fasten to the two enclosures, and shalt put on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, on the front thereof.

Iar celelalte două capete ale celor două lanţuri împletite să le prinzi de cele două ferecături, şi să le pui peste umerarii efodului, în partea dinainte.

26 A nd thou shalt make two rings of gold, and shalt put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the border thereof, which faceth the ephod inwards.

Să mai faci două verigi de aur, şi să le pui la celelalte două capete de jos ale pieptarului, pe marginea din lăuntru care este îndreptată spre efod.

27 A nd two rings of gold shalt thou make, and shalt put them upon the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod underneath, to the front thereof just by the coupling thereof, above the girdle of the ephod.

Şi să mai faci alte două verigi de aur, pe cari să le pui jos la cei doi umărari ai efodului pe partea dinainte a lui, tocmai acolo unde se îmbucă efodul cu umărarii, deasupra brîului efodului.

28 A nd they shall bind the breastplate with its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

Pieptarul cu verigile lui, să -l lege de verigile efodului cu o sfoară albastră, pentruca pieptarul să stea ţapăn deasupra brîului efodului, şi să nu poată să se mişte de pe efod.

29 A nd Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment on his heart, when he goes in to the sanctuary, for a memorial before Jehovah continually.

Cînd va intra Aaron în sfîntul locaş, va purta pe inima lui numele fiilor lui Israel, săpate pe pieptarul judecăţii, ca să păstreze totdeauna aducerea aminte de ei înaintea Domnului. -

30 A nd thou shalt put into the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, that they may be upon Aaron's heart when he goeth in before Jehovah; and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before Jehovah continually.

Să pui în pieptarul judecăţii Urim şi Tumim, cari să fie pe inima lui Aaron, cînd se va înfăţişa el înaintea Domnului. Astfel, Aaron va purta necurmat pe inima lui judecata copiilor lui Israel, cînd se va înfăţişa înaintea Domnului.

31 A nd thou shalt make the cloak of the ephod all of blue.

Mantia de supt efod s'o faci întreagă de materie albastră.

32 A nd its opening for the head shall be in the midst thereof; there shall be a binding of woven work at its opening round about; as the opening of a coat of mail, it shall be in it—it shall not rend.

La mijloc, să aibă o gură pentru intrarea capului; şi gura aceasta să aibă de jur împrejur o tivitură ţesută, ca gura unei platoşe, ca să nu se rupă.

33 A nd on the skirts thereof thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, round about the skirts thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

Pe margine, de jur împrejurul tiviturii, să pui nişte rodii de coloare albastră, purpurie şi cărmizie, presărate cu clopoţei de aur:

34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, in the skirts of the cloak round about.

un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, un clopoţel de aur şi o rodie, pe toată marginea mantiei de jur împrejur.

35 A nd it shall be on Aaron for service; that his sound may be heard when he goeth into the sanctuary before Jehovah, and when he cometh out, that he may not die.

Aaron se va îmbrăca cu ea ca să facă slujba; cînd va intra în locaşul sfînt înaintea Domnului, şi cînd va ieşi din el, se va auzi sunetul clopoţeilor, aşa că el nu va muri.

36 A nd thou shalt make a thin plate of pure gold, and engrave on it, as the engravings of a seal, Holiness to Jehovah!

Să faci şi o tablă de aur curat, şi să sapi pe ea, cum se sapă pe o pecete:, Sfinţenie Domnului.`

37 A nd thou shalt put it on a lace of blue, and it shall be upon the turban—upon the front of the turban shall it be.

S'o legi cu o sfoară albastră de mitră, în partea dinainte a mitrei.

38 A nd it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all gifts of their holy things; and it shall be continually on his forehead, that they may be accepted before Jehovah.

Ea să fie pe fruntea lui Aaron; şi Aaron va purta fărădelegile săvîrşite de copiii lui Israel cînd îşi aduc toate darurile lor sfinte; ea va fi necurmat pe fruntea lui înaintea Domnului, pentruca ei să fie plăcuţi înaintea Lui.

39 A nd thou shalt weave the vest of byssus; and thou shalt make a turban of byssus; and thou shalt make a girdle of embroidery.

Tunica s'o faci de in subţire; să faci o mitră de in subţire, şi să faci un brîu lucrat la gherghef.

40 A nd for Aaron's sons thou shalt make vests; and thou shalt make for them girdles; and high caps shalt thou make for them, for glory and for ornament.

Fiilor lui Aaron să le faci tunici, să le faci brîne, şi să le faci scufii, spre cinste şi podoabă.

41 A nd thou shalt clothe with them Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and hallow them, that they may serve me as priests.

Să îmbraci cu ele pe fratele tău Aaron, şi pe fiii lui împreună cu el. Să -i ungi, să -i închini în slujbă, să -i sfinţeşti, şi-Mi vor sluji ca preoţi.

42 A nd thou shalt make them linen trousers to cover the flesh of nakedness; from the loins even to the hips shall they reach.

Fă-le ismene de in, ca să-şi acopere goliciunea, dela brîu pînă la glesne.

43 A nd they shall be upon Aaron and his sons when they enter into the tent of meeting, or when they come near to the altar to serve in the sanctuary; that they may not bear iniquity and die—an everlasting statute for him and his seed after him.

Aaron şi fiii lui le vor purta, cînd vor intra în cortul întîlnirii, sau cînd se vor apropia de altar, ca să facă slujba în locaşul sfînt; astfel ei nu se vor face vinovaţi, şi nu vor muri. Aceasta este o lege vecinică pentru Aaron şi pentru urmaşii lui după el.
