1 I will praise Jehovah with my whole heart; I will recount all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee; I will sing forth thy name, O Most High.

Voi face din Tine bucuria şi veselia mea, voi cînta Numele tău, Dumnezeule Prea Înalte,

3 W hen mine enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished at thy presence:

pentrucă vrăjmaşii mei dau înapoi, se clatină, şi pier dinaintea Ta.

4 F or thou hast maintained my right and my cause. Thou sittest on the throne, judging righteously.

căci Tu îmi sprijineşti dreptatea şi pricina mea, şi stai pe scaunul Tău de domnie ca un judecător drept.

5 T hou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

Tu pedepseşti neamurile, nimiceşti pe cel rău, le ştergi numele pentru totdeauna şi pe vecie.

6 O enemy! destructions are ended for ever.—Thou hast also destroyed cities, even the remembrance of them hath perished.

S'au dus vrăjmaşii! N'au rămas din ei decît nişte dărîmături vecinice! Nişte cetăţi dărîmate de Tine! Li s'a şters pomenirea!

7 B ut Jehovah sitteth for ever; he hath ordained his throne for judgment.

Ei s'au dus, dar Domnul împărăteşte în veac, şi Şi -a pregătit scaunul de domnie pentru judecată.

8 A nd it is he that will judge the world with righteousness; he shall execute judgment upon the peoples with equity.

El judecă lumea cu dreptate, judecă popoarele cu nepărtinire.

9 A nd Jehovah will be a refuge to the oppressed one, a refuge in times of distress.

Domnul este scăparea celui asuprit, scăpare la vreme de necaz.

10 A nd they that know thy name will confide in thee; for thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Cei ce cunosc Numele Tău, se încred în Tine, căci Tu nu părăseşti pe cei ce Te caută, Doamne!

11 S ing psalms to Jehovah who dwelleth in Zion; tell among the peoples his doings.

Cîntaţi Domnului, care împărăţeşte în Sion, vestiţi printre popoare isprăvile Lui!

12 F or when he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them; the cry of the afflicted ones hath he not forgotten.

Căci El răzbună sîngele vărsat, şi Îşi aduce aminte de cei nenorociţi, nu uită strigătele lor.

13 B e gracious unto me, O Jehovah; consider mine affliction from them that hate me, lifting me up from the gates of death:

Ai milă de mine, Doamne! Vezi ticăloşia în care mă aduc vrăjmaşii mei, şi ridică-mă din porţile morţii,

14 T hat I may declare all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will be joyful in thy salvation.

ca să vestesc toate laudele Tale, în porţile fiicei Sionului, şi să mă bucur de mîntuirea Ta.

15 T he nations are sunk down in the pit they made; in the net that they hid is their own foot taken.

Neamurile cad în groapa pe care au făcut -o, şi li se prinde piciorul în laţul pe care l-au ascuns.

16 J ehovah is known the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

Domnul Se arată, face dreptate, şi prinde pe cel rău în lucrul mînilor lui. (Joc de instrumente. Oprire.)

17 T he wicked shall be turned into Sheol, all the nations that forget God.

Cei răi se întorc la locuinţa morţilor: toate neamurile cari uită pe Dumnezeu.

18 F or the needy one shall not be forgotten alway; the hope of the meek shall not perish for ever.

Căci cel nenorocit nu este uitat pe vecie, nădejdea celor sărmani nu piere pe vecie.

19 A rise, Jehovah; let not man prevail: let the nations be judged in thy sight.

Scoală-Te, Doamne, ca să nu biruie omul; neamurile să fie judecate înaintea Ta!

20 P ut them in fear, Jehovah: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Aruncă groaza în ei, Doamne, ca să ştie popoarele că nu sînt decît oameni! (Oprire.)
