şi le-am zis:,, Să nu se deschidă porţile Ierusalimului înainte de căldura soarelui, şi uşile să fie închise cu încuietorile, în faţa voastră. Locuitorii Ierusalimului să facă de strajă, fiecare la locul lui, înaintea casei lui.``

Cetatea era încăpătoare şi mare, dar popor era puţin în ea, şi casele nu erau zidite.
