1 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Cuvântul Domnului a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:

2 S on of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

„Fiul omului, îndreaptă-ţi faţa spre Gog, din ţara lui Magog, prinţ conducător al Meşekului şi al Tubalului, şi profeţeşte împotriva lui.

3 a nd say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

Spune că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Iată, sunt împotriva ta, Gog, prinţ conducător al Meşekului şi al Tubalului.

4 A nd I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them thoroughly equipped, a great assemblage with targets and shields, all of them handling swords:

Te voi întoarce, îţi voi pune cârlige în fălci şi te voi scoate afară pentru luptă, pe tine şi pe toată oştirea ta, cai şi călăreţi, toţi echipaţi în chip minunat, o mare mulţime cu scut şi pavăză, cu toţii mânuind sabia.

5 P ersia, Cush, and Phut with them, all of them with shield and helmet;

Persia, Cuş şi Put vor fi împreună cu ei, cu toţii având scut şi coif.

6 G omer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah from the uttermost north, and all his bands;—many peoples with thee.

Va mai fi şi Gomer cu toate hoardele lui, precum şi Bet-Togarma, din părţile îndepărtate ale nordului, cu toate hoardele ei – împreună cu tine vor fi multe popoare.

7 B e thou prepared, and prepare for thyself thou, and all thine assemblage that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

Pregăteşte-te deci şi fii gata, atât tu, cât şi toată mulţimea adunată în jurul tău! Tu îi vei fi călăuză!

8 A fter many days shalt thou be visited; at the end of years thou shalt come into the land brought back from the sword gathered out of many peoples, upon the mountains of Israel which have been a perpetual waste: but it is brought forth out from the peoples, and they shall all of them be dwelling in safety.

După multe zile vei fi pregătit; la sfârşitul anilor vei veni împotriva unei ţări refăcute de pe urma sabiei şi adunată din mai multe popoare pe munţii lui Israel, munţi care fuseseră multă vreme pustii. Ea va fi atunci o ţară scoasă dintre popoare, care locuieşte în siguranţă.

9 A nd thou shalt ascend, thou shalt come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many peoples with thee.

Vei înainta şi vei veni ca o furtună devastatoare; vei fi ca un nor care acoperă ţara, tu, împreună cu hoardele tale şi cu toate popoarele cele multe.»

10 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: It shall even come to pass in that day that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought;

Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «În ziua aceea multe gânduri îţi vor trece prin minte şi vei pune la cale un plan rău.

11 a nd thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will come to them that are in quiet, that dwell in safety, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

Vei zice: ‘Voi înainta împotriva acestei ţări pline de sate nefortificate şi voi ataca nişte oameni liniştiţi, care stau fără griji în locuinţele lor, toţi în locuinţe fără ziduri, fără zăvoare şi fără porţi.

12 t o seize a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thy hand against the waste places that are inhabited, and against a people gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the middle of the land.

Voi prăda ce este de prădat şi voi jefui ce este de jefuit. Îmi voi întoarce mâna împotriva acestor ruine locuite din nou şi împotriva acestui popor adunat dintre neamuri, care are vite şi avuţii şi locuieşte în centrul ţării.’

13 S heba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to seize a spoil? hast thou gathered thine assemblage to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take cattle and goods, to seize a great spoil?

Şeba şi Dedan, negustorii din Tarşiş şi toţi leii lui tineri îţi vor zice: ‘Vii să prădezi ce este de prădat? Ţi-ai adunat mulţimea să jefuieşti ce este de jefuit, să-ţi însuşeşti argint şi aur, să iei vite şi avuţii, ca să obţii o pradă mare?’»

14 T herefore prophesy, son of man, and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwelleth in safety, shalt thou not know ?

De aceea profeţeşte, fiul omului, şi spune-i lui Gog că aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Nu-i aşa că te vei pregăti în ziua aceea, când poporul Meu, Israel, va locui în siguranţă?

15 A nd thou shalt come from thy place out of the uttermost north, thou and many peoples with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great assemblage and a mighty army.

Atunci vei veni din ţinutul tău, din părţile îndepărtate ale nordului, tu şi popoarele cele multe împreună cu tine, toţi călare pe cai, o mare mulţime, o oştire numeroasă.

16 A nd thou shalt come up against my people Israel as a cloud to cover the land—it shall be at the end of days—and I will bring thee against my land, that the nations may know me, when I shall be hallowed in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

Gog, vei înainta împotriva poporului Meu Israel, ca un nor care acoperă ţara. În zilele de pe urmă te voi aduce împotriva ţării Mele ca să Mă cunoască neamurile, când Mă voi arăta sfânt prin tine înaintea ochilor lor!»

17 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou not he of whom I have spoken in old time through my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days, for years, that I would bring thee against them?

Aşa vorbeşte Stăpânul Domn: «Nu eşti tu acela despre care am vorbit în vechime prin slujitorii Mei, profeţii lui Israel? Ei au profeţit atunci ani de-a rândul că te voi aduce împotriva lor.

18 A nd it shall come to pass in that day, in the day when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, my fury shall come up in my face;

În ziua aceea, în ziua în care Gog va veni împotriva ţării lui Israel, zice Stăpânul Domn, Îmi va izbucni furia aprinsă.

19 f or in my jealousy, in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Verily in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

În gelozia şi în focul răbufnirii Mele, declar că în ziua aceea va fi un mare cutremur în ţara lui Israel.

20 s o that the fish of the sea, and the fowl of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things which creep upon the earth, and all mankind that are upon the face of the earth shall shake at my presence; and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Peştii mării, păsările cerului, fiarele câmpului, toate creaturile care se târăsc pe pământ şi toţi oamenii de pe faţa pământului se vor cutremura de prezenţa Mea. Atunci munţii se vor răsturna, stâncile vor cădea şi orice zid se va prăbuşi la pământ.

21 A nd I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord Jehovah: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

Voi chema o sabie împotriva lui Gog pe toţi munţii Mei, zice Stăpânul Domn; sabia fiecărui om va fi împotriva fratelui său.

22 A nd I will enter into judgment with him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many peoples that are with him, overflowing rain and great hailstones, fire and brimstone.

Îl voi judeca prin molimă şi prin vărsare de sânge. Ploaie năprasnică, grindină cât piatra, foc şi pucioasă voi revărsa peste el, peste hoardele lui şi peste multele popoare care vor fi cu el.

23 A nd I will magnify myself, and sanctify myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I Jehovah.

Îmi voi arăta astfel mărirea şi sfinţenia şi Mă voi face cunoscut în ochii multor neamuri. Şi vor şti că Eu sunt Domnul. »“
