1 S i habéis, pues, resucitado con Cristo, buscad las cosas de arriba, donde está Cristo sentado a la diestra de Dios.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 P oned la mira en las cosas de arriba, no en las de la tierra.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 P orque habéis muerto, y vuestra vida está escondida con Cristo en Dios.

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 C uando Cristo, nuestra vida, sea manifestado, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con El en gloria. La vida vieja y la vida nueva

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5 P or tanto, considerad los miembros de vuestro cuerpo terrenal como muertos a la fornicación, la impureza, las pasiones, los malos deseos y la avaricia, que es idolatría.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

6 P ues la ira de Dios vendrá sobre los hijos de desobediencia por causa de estas cosas,

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

7 e n las cuales vosotros también anduvisteis en otro tiempo cuando vivíais en ellas.

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8 P ero ahora desechad también vosotros todas estas cosas: ira, enojo, malicia, maledicencia, lenguaje soez de vuestra boca.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

9 N o mintáis los unos a los otros, puesto que habéis desechado al viejo hombre con sus malos hábitos,

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

10 y os habéis vestido del nuevo hombre, el cual se va renovando hacia un verdadero conocimiento, conforme a la imagen de aquel que lo creó;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

11 u na renovación en la cual no hay distinción entre griego y judío, circunciso e incircunciso, bárbaro, escita, esclavo o libre, sino que Cristo es todo, y en todos.

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12 E ntonces, como escogidos de Dios, santos y amados, revestíos de tierna compasión, bondad, humildad, mansedumbre y paciencia;

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 s oportándoos unos a otros y perdonándoos unos a otros, si alguno tiene queja contra otro; como Cristo os perdonó, así también hacedlo vosotros.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 Y sobre todas estas cosas, vestíos de amor, que es el vínculo de la unidad.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

15 Y que la paz de Cristo reine en vuestros corazones, a la cual en verdad fuisteis llamados en un solo cuerpo; y sed agradecidos.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Q ue la palabra de Cristo habite en abundancia en vosotros, con toda sabiduría enseñándoos y amonestándoos unos a otros con salmos, himnos y canciones espirituales, cantando a Dios con acción de gracias en vuestros corazones.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 Y todo lo que hacéis, de palabra o de hecho, hacedlo todo en el nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias por medio de El a Dios el Padre. Relaciones sociales del cristiano

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

18 M ujeres, estad sujetas a vuestros maridos, como conviene en el Señor.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19 M aridos, amad a vuestras mujeres y no seáis ásperos con ellas.

Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20 H ijos, sed obedientes a vuestros padres en todo, porque esto es agradable al Señor.

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

21 P adres, no exasperéis a vuestros hijos, para que no se desalienten.

Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

22 S iervos, obedeced en todo a vuestros amos en la tierra, no para ser vistos, como los que quieren agradar a los hombres, sino con sinceridad de corazón, temiendo al Señor.

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;

23 Y todo lo que hagáis, hacedlo de corazón, como para el Señor y no para los hombres,

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 s abiendo que del Señor recibiréis la recompensa de la herencia. Es a Cristo el Señor a quien servís.

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

25 P orque el que procede con injusticia sufrirá las consecuencias del mal que ha cometido, y eso, sin acepción de personas.

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
