1 E scucha, oh Dios, mi oración, y no te escondas de mi súplica.

Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

2 A tiéndeme y respóndeme; conmovido estoy en mi queja y muy conturbado,

Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

3 a causa de la voz del enemigo, por la opresión del impío; pues echan iniquidad sobre mí, y con furia me persiguen.

Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

4 A ngustiado está mi corazón dentro de mí, y sobre mí han caído los terrores de la muerte.

My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

5 T error y temblor me invaden, y horror me ha cubierto.

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

6 Y dije: ¡Quién me diera alas como de paloma! Volaría y hallaría reposo.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

7 C iertamente huiría muy lejos; moraría en el desierto. (Selah )

Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

8 M e apresuraría a buscar mi lugar de refugio contra el viento borrascoso y la tempestad.

I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

9 C onfunde, Señor, divide sus lenguas, porque he visto violencia y rencilla en la ciudad.

Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

10 D ía y noche la rondan sobre sus muros, y en medio de ella hay iniquidad y malicia.

Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

11 H ay destrucción en medio de ella, y la opresión y el engaño no se alejan de sus calles.

Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.

12 P orque no es un enemigo el que me reprocha, si así fuera, podría soportar lo; ni es uno que me odia el que se ha alzado contra mí, si así fuera, podría ocultarme de él;

For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

13 s ino tú, que eres mi igual, mi compañero, mi íntimo amigo;

But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

14 n osotros que juntos teníamos dulce comunión, que con la multitud andábamos en la casa de Dios.

We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

15 Q ue la muerte los sorprenda, que desciendan vivos al Seol, porque la maldad está en su morada, en medio de ellos.

Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

16 E n cuanto a mí, a Dios invocaré, y el Señor me salvará.

As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.

17 T arde, mañana y mediodía me lamentaré y gemiré, y El oirá mi voz.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

18 E n paz redimirá mi alma de la guerra que hay contra mí, pues son muchos los que están contra mí.

He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

19 D ios oirá y les responderá, El, que reina desde la antigüedad, (Selah) porque no hay cambio en ellos ni temen a Dios.

God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

20 A quel ha extendido sus manos contra los que estaban en paz con él, ha violado su pacto.

He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.

21 L as palabras de su boca eran más blandas que la mantequilla, pero en su corazón había guerra; más suaves que el aceite eran sus palabras, sin embargo, eran espadas desnudas.

The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

22 E cha sobre el Señor tu carga, y El te sustentará; El nunca permitirá que el justo sea sacudido.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

23 P ero tú, oh Dios, los harás caer al pozo de la destrucción; los hombres sanguinarios y engañadores no vivirán la mitad de sus días; mas yo en ti confiaré.

But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
